then they brought out Tofu Scramble and Cheesy Grits separately to make it a 'platter'. Got to see the owner, Doron Petersan, working there too, it was like a celebrity sighting.
Breakfast was a massive amount of food, so no lunch, just one of their carryout Avocado Chicken Wraps for dinner.
Rice Divine Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge for dessert.Kept thinking it was Sunday all day and that I had to put the trash out. Hope everyone had a pleasant holiday and thanks for the technical advice.

Score! Happy 4th!
Doron was at Vegetarian Summerfest! I went to her food demo (which you can read about on my blog tomorrow!).
Happy Independence Day!
Oooh, that would be a celebrity sighting! That place certainly knows how to treat a taste bud or two well.
It really is odd that the holiday fell on a Wednesday, but I hope you get to WFH tomorrow!
Haha I get excited about seeing people at their own restaurants, for sure. If I ever saw Isa moskowitz, I'd totally geek out. Not that you geeked out! I'm totally sure you didn't spill the grits all over yrself in excitement; only I pull that stuff off.
Haha it is totally a celebrity sighting! That breakfast looks so amazing and at least they made it right in the end! The wrap looks really great too. I need to figure out an excuse to get down there, the menu looks amazing.
Ice cream is definitely the perfect way to cool off on a hot and humid fourth of july!
i thought it was Sunday all day too! It was very strange... I guess because there was a wedding?
That tofu scramble looks so good right now!
Should I know Doran Petersan? I don't know anything about celebrities in any field, practically. That French toast would have me coming back just on its own merits.
Where's that at? That looks so good!
Hey Now!!!!
Jenny, when are we gonna hear about your adventure in Manhattan?
Amanda J, I will check out your blog.
Ingrid, I did get to WFH today, so tomorrow is Monday and Friday all together.
FF, I just stared a little bit. She had this smirk on her face, like 'yes, it's me'.
VaVa, not worth coming to DC for the food. Trust me, you have way better vegan grub up in NYC. Portland or Austin would be next in line for that type of trip.
Mary, it was a fantastic breakfast. Lot's of secret ingredients to make it all taste so good.
Blessed Mama, if you were in the restaurant, you would've put her face to the cookbook on sale and made the connection.
Rika, that be at Washington, D.C. --> Columbia Heights neighborhood.
One day...one day...
