On Fiyah

Lunch was from Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant. I got the "Lotus Spicy" Lunch Special -- Diced Soy Protein sautéed with Dried Tofu, Celery, Organic Carrots, Green and Red Bell Peppers and sprinkled with Peanuts in spicy Kung Pao Sauce. $7.95 including Brown Rice and Spring Roll.
This was so spicy, my mouth and belly were burning for many hours afterwards. What I really wanted for dinner was a Bagel w/Tofutti Creme Cheese to cool things off, but I didn't have an Bagels, so I just had some TJ's Multi-Grain Toast w/Tofutti.
750 MLs of Black Swan Shiraz Merlot too. Thanks to everyone for leaving a comment yesterday. I feel better now. See you tomorrow!

A Phenomenal Food Day

Lunch was stir-fried Seitan and Bok Choy off the health bar at Whole Foods.
Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz 57, Asparagus and a Baked Potato w/Sour Supreme & Bac'Uns. Even though, when I was making the cutlets, I accidentally put a Tablespoon of Salt into them instead of a Teaspoon, they still turned out delicious.
Five of TJ's After Dinner Mints for dessert.
750 MLs of Black Swan Shiraz Merlot too. Zero comments for two whole days. Don't leave me flapping out here in the blogosphere breeze, readers! Throw me a bone and leave a comment!

Eating Some Greens

I haven't been eating many greens lately, so I felt a nice salad was in order for lunch. We went to American Flatbread...
I got the Evolution Salad for $5.99 -- "Organically grown Sweet Leaf & Mesclun Lettuces, tossed with Organic Carrots & Celery, Arame Seaweed, Toasted Sesame Seeds, fresh Ginger-Tamari Vinaigrette made w/homemade Fruit Vinegar.
Dinner was Cabbage, Cauliflower & Potato Chowder. Whole Grain Mustard stirred in as well a half of a Tofurkey Italian Sausage. No sauteed cabbage on top tonight.
Yesterday, I made a batch of Fudgie Wudgie Brownies. After I put them in the oven, I turned around and saw the half cup of chocolate chips sitting on the counter that was supposed to have been added to the brownies. That's when I said, "F******CK!!!". I think the brownies would be better had I remembered to add the chips.
More Black Swan Shiraz Merlot. Back to work tomorrow. See you then!

What I Chose To Eat Today

Still recovering from the CPK trauma of yesterday. Thank you for the understanding comments. I didn't know what to have for lunch so I opted for Nora's sandwich.
Mr. SV made pizza for dinner with his Tomato Sauce and torn up Tofutti Singles.
750 MLs of Black Swan Shiraz Merlot to also help me get back on track.

Cheese Is Better When Fake

Lunch was Broccoli and Sun-Dried Tomato Fusili from California Pizza Kitchen. As you can see from the picture, someone hocked a loogie in the middle of my pasta. Not really, but I think I would've preferred that to the splat of parmesan cheese that was there instead. The internal conflict and confusion I had while eating this dish barred me from any enjoyment.. I requested for 'NO CHEESE'. They added cheese. I ate the cheese solely to prevent drawing any attention to myself and to be congenial and went on to feel like a huge fraud and failure. I'm still wrestling with the situation.
I managed to persevere and carry on at dinner time. Two Boca Chick'n Patties with Tomatoes and Tofutti Singles. Roasted Cauliflower with Goddess Dressing on the side.
I'm not going to let today's set back get me down. Being vegan is one of the best things in my life.

What I Enjoyed Eating Today

Breakfast was another slice of Banana Bread as shown in yesterday's post. Lunch was another Vegan Seitan Panini from Whole Foods. Beef style Seitan, Baby Spinach, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers and some sort of Vegan Cheese. Words and pictures cannot do justice to the deliciousness of this sandwich. I sure hope they continue to offer it.
Dinner was Mr. SV's Thursday Night Spaghetti with TJ's Meatless Meatballs..After that I had yet another slice of Banana Bread. I'm really getting into. Tomorrow's eats will include carryout from CPK and Roasted Cauliflower. Lots to look forward to.

Kashi Autumn Wheat Cereal with Rice Dream again for breakfast...

Dinner was something new: Cabbage, Cauliflower & Potato Chowder. This unusual recipe was pretty tasty. The Whole Grain Mustard (I used TJ's Whole Grain Dijon) really added a unique note.
For dessert I had some of these TJ's After Dinner Mints...
I read the ingredients over and over, they really looked vegan to me. I hope I'm not wrong. Very delicious.
See you tomorrow.

Gardein Saves The Day

Breakfast was a slice of Isa's Banana Bread with TJ's Boysenberry Preserves...
Lunch was enjoyed at The Berryville Grille.
For $5.95, my Portobello Panini included Grilled Eggplant, Roasted Red Pepper and Hummus. All beers at at The Berryville Grille are $2, so we'll be back even though there isn't much vegan-wise on the menu.
And the winner of the best item consumed today is.... Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz 57!
I loved these! They were the best 'chick'n nuggets' I've tasted. Plus two pieces = 90 calories!
Lots of Yellow Tail Merlot. Wah! Tomorrow is Sunday!

I Ate The Same Thing Again!

It's not my fault Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal soaked in Rice Dream is so delicious that I had to have it again for breakfast...
...or that Nora got me addicted to this sandwich so I had to have one for lunch...
Fortunately, Mr. SV made Tomato Sauce with Spinach today so I could blog momentarily about something else. I had the tangy sauce on Boca Burgers with Ore-Ida Onion Rings and it was fantastic. Mr. SV doesn't cook much, but when he does, he brings it!
Enjoyed with lots Yellow Tail Merlot. Followed later by some Ry*Krisp Crackers and Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese (best eaten in bed).
Tomorrow I will get to the store. See you then.
