Field Roast Rules

The salad bar at Whole Food's today was really hurtin' -- the Balsamic Vinaigrette had separated and only Oil would come out of the bottle, the Tomatoes were mostly unripe, there was a congested kid trying to infect all of it -- but I persevered and, under the blackening 'shrooms and mealy inedible Tofu lies a good bit of iron providing Spinach:
Dinner was more leftovers, this time w/WF's Wild Mushroom Gravy. Yes, I do love Field Roast. To those bloggers eating Tofurky and saying they like it, I say this, "You know not what you speak of!" Fortunately for you, I will continue to link to your misinformed blogs because I'm too lazy to clean up my URL list.
Dessert was the opposite of a leftover.
Frontera Malbec. Good stuff. Only grimaced once after the first sip...

Still Digesting

Lunch was a Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino. The pink frosty beverage was the highlight of the last week for me.
Dinner was leftover Field Roast and Stuffing with Imagine Mushroom Gravy. Followed soon by more Stuffing and Gravy. No abdominal pains or feelings of despair tonight like on T'giving (that night there were Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans as well).
Lots of Black Swan Shiraz....

Yay Food!

Didn't mean for yesterday's post to be such a bummer. I've always hated T'giving and that combined with a painful bout of overeating (Just one plate of food! That's all I had! No dessert or seconds! How bad would I have felt if I ate animal products? Gross!) and the surreal nature of blogging all snowballed into yesterday's FOOD IS NOT MY FRIEND WAAAH! post. I'll pretend to be normal for the time being. Lunch today was a container of this energy drink. I did enjoy myself while drinking it, although it has a strong stevia taste which is not to my liking.
Dinner was a simple Lentil Soup (just Lentils, Celery, Onions, a TBSP of Tomato Paste, a couple Bay Leaves, Chili Powder, Cumin, S&P).
Black Swan Shiraz (when you fall off the horse, you gotta get right back on). And that's it. No dessert. Nada. I will catch up with everyone's blogging within the next few days.

Brown Friday

So life and blogging goes on, even when it all feels pointless and/or you feel disgusting. You (or I) do it anyway just in case one day it starts to feel fun/or you (or I) feel good again.."Fried Chicken" at Sunflower for lunch...
along with Mizunai Sansai Soba Noodles (Sauteed Soy Gluten, Wood Ear Mushrooms, Japanese Parsley, Bracken and Vegetables, tossed with Seacress (Green Nori Flake-Gomashio)).
The perfect dinner: PB & Crackers.
Several Stoli on the rocks...

WTF Wednesday

I was off work and spent the day peeling and slicing seven pounds of Golden Potatoes, trimming and blanching four pounds of Green Beans, dicing a head of Celery and... napping. No time for lunch in all of that activity. Dinner was Boca Burgers with TJ's Chili and Sweet Potato Fries....
...and dessert was Justin's PB Cups! Within just 72 hours of Jenny's review I had these bad boys in hand and, yes, they are quite the delicious treat! This is why the vegan blogging community is so important, people! And, yes, I'm back on the sugar now that I am starting to feel well again.

Not all my posts can be great. Today is one such post. Lunch was just a vending machine bag of peanuts. Dinner was Garden Burgers with TJ's Chili.

A Quick & Sloppy Post

Lunch was a Lentil Dal Burger Sandwich and a cup of Pumpkin Soup from Whole Foods...
Field Roast and Boiled Potatoes for dinner...
Dessert was a victim of the five-second rule. Yes, the piece of pie was then plated upside-down, but I successfully picked out the bits of kitty litter that were stuck to it.
Black Swan Merlot.

Sunday Mini Post

Lunch was a Veggie Sandwich at Market Table Bistro. That's pickled fennel on top, not onions. The beets on the side were an unpleasant surprise. I detest beets. Almost as much as I detest wasting food. So I had to eat the beets. The beets were g'damn delicious! Only at this restaurant though, I'm sure. Dinner was two non-organic Boca Chicken Patties with Swiss Chard...

Saturday Mega Post

I went to Big Lots today for the first time in many months, and while I was away, a lot of cool things have hit the shelves:
Alicia got me into drinking green tea, so I stocked up on that:
Lunch was a big salad...
I'm finally comfortable posting about the Granola Bars I've been taking for breakfast.
First off, I have a dedicated flax grinder (a coffee mill just for flax):
The ground Flax is mixed with Agave Nectar & Sea Salt and stirred into the Almonds, Coconut and Cranberries (instead of Apricots)...
To avoid sticking to the pan, I use parchment paper when baking. I still can't get them to cut cleanly, so I just break off a chunk when needed and they are deeeeelicious!
Baby Buff graciously agreed to pose for my mega post.
An Almond Butter and Banana Sandwich for dinner...
and a bottle of Charles Shaw Shiraz.
