...and a bottle of Kombucha....Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz57 and two Baked Potatoes with Sour Supreme and Bac'Uns.Dessert was Rice Divine Mudd Pie.

More Sandwich and Soup

Lunch was a Hummus, Tomato, Cucumber, Sun-Dried Tomato, Jalapeno, Onion & Red Pepper Sandwich on Ciabatta at Blue Moon Cafe. Red Quinoa on the side. A delightful day to dine Al Fresco (under the umbrellas and trees).
Dinner was the rest of the Veggie Soup I made over a week ago. Some Tofurky Italian Sausage was added.
Dessert was a couple Coconut Peanut Butter Cups.
One bottle of Matthew Fox Merlot.

Soothing Saturday

Lunch was at One Block West. I don't usually care for Portobello Mushroom sandwiches, but this one was outstanding -- not sloppy or heavy -- just a very refined thin layer of 'shroom, a few slivers of Roasted Red Pepper, Caramelized Onions, Arugula and a fine Balsamic Vinaigrette. This could give PM Sandwiches a good name. The Baby Arugula on the side was tossed with Lemon Juice and Pine Nuts. Super refreshing.
Dinner was two Gardein Cutlets with Lentil Pilaf...
Dessert was a couple Coconut Peanut Butter Cups...

I sent out three resumes today, so just one bottle of Matthew Fox Merlot was sufficient tonight. Perhaps there is hope for the future.

Frightening Friday

Quelle jour! Lunch was Vegan 'Chicken' Lo-Mein and a side of Hearts of Palm salad off the Whole Food's Salad Bar.
Dinner was a Veggie Tuna Sandwich with Tater Tots and Bread & Butter Pickles.
The Veggie Tuna was so good, instead of dessert, I finished the rest of it on Ezekiel Bread. Hey, this is real life veganism I'm showing here, not some perfect fantasy land.
Lots of Charles Shaw Cabernet. Like more than a bottle. It's been a rough week.

Tomorrow Is Friday

Lunch was from Cafesano. A "zesty Avocado mix wrapped with Roma Tomatoes, Romaine, Scallions and Kalamata Olives." Served with baked Lavash Chips and Red Pepper Hummus.
Dinner was Mr. SV's Spaghetti with TJ's Meatless Meatballs and Classico Red Pepper Sauce.
Dessert was a 1/4 cup of Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Sandwich and Soup

Lunch was a Field Roast Sandwich from Whole Foods (the Seitan Paninis now seem to only be made w/goat cheese). I didn't like the looks of this sandwich, thought it would be heavy and dry, but I wanted to show WF that there's a demand for vegan sandwiches. Thankfully, I was wrong about the looks of this sandwich -- it was light and airy and deeelicious! There were Hummus and Cucumbers on it as well as the usual Lettuce, Tomatoes & Carrots.
Dinner was the Veggie Soup I made over the weekend.Dessert was Rice Divine Mudd Pie.

A Pretty Decent Food Day

Lunch was some steamed Vegetables off Wegman's hot bar as well as a bowl of Moroccan Chickpea and Lentil Stew...
Dinner was Boca Burgers w/Daiya on Ezekiel Whole Wheat, Bread & Butter Pickles and Tater Tots.
Instead of a sweet dessert, I had some Club Crackers and TJ's Valencia Peanut Butter.
A $5 bottle of Estrella Merlot to wash it all down with.

It's That Day Before That Other Day

Lunch was the Chickpea Cucumber Tomato and Avocado Salad that was in the Washington Post last week. Not super fan(tastic). Won't bother making it again.
Mr. SV made a home made pizza crust tonight with Tomato Sauce fromLEDO Pizzeria, Baby Spinach and Daiya Cheddar. The man knows how to keep the yeast alive. Really great.
Dessert was a Twilight Bar. I am currently rich in vegan candy bars.

Saturday Is Better Than Sunday

I made a big pot of Vegetable Soup today to have on hand for dinners next week. No real recipe, just two big Onions, four cloves of Garlic, a head of Celery, a pound of Carrots, a big can of Tomatoes, Kale and Navy Beans. Chili Power & Oregano to season. I had a bowl for lunch and it was good.
Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz57, the rest of last night's Chard and a Baked Potato with Sour Supreme and Bac'Uns. I guess I should mention that I am aware that I make Potatoes as a side dish a lot. It is because I have to share my meals with some furbabies and sharing potatoes is always easiest.
In search of dessert, I found Pistachios.

A Great Food Day

After getting stuck in two ugly backups yesterday (40 minutes late getting to work/20 minutes late meeting for lunch), I decided to stay home today and just relax. For lunch, I had a cup of Pistachios while cleaning up the DVR.
Dinner was Celebration Field Roast w/Road's End Organic Gravy, Steamed Chard and a Baked Potato with Sour Supreme and Bac'Uns on top.
Dessert was a Jokerz Bar.

At Least I Manage To Post Daily

Lunch was the Mediterranean Penne Pasta from Brio Italian Grille. Mushrooms, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions and pine nuts for $12.95
Dinner was Boca Burgers with Daiya Cheddar & Wegman's Tater Tots.
Dessert was the crumbs from the bottom of the Uncle Eddie's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies bag.

WFH Wednesday

Lunch was an Italian Deli Tofurky Sandwich on Ezekiel Bread w/Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Toffuti Cream Cheese. Bread & Butter Pickles on the side. Then I had a cup of Pistachios...
Dinner was Boca Burgers with Daiya Cheddar and Tater Tots.
The Tots (Wegman's brand) were so delicious, I had a second helping, instead of dessert...
And here is a pic taken today of our little diva, Buffy, wondering why Mommy can only WFH one day a week.

Three More Days Till The Weekend

Lunch was the Veggie Bowl from Counter. A 1/3 pound Veggie Burger on a bed of Organic Greens with Tomatoes, Red Onions, Black Bean & Corn Salsa & Black Olives. The salad was great, but the 'burger' was mediocre. This is the last time I try that place. Three strikes and they're out!
Dinner was one of Alicia's Cutlets w/Heinz57, Roasted Asparagus and a Baked Potato with Sour Supreme and Bac'Uns.

Chipotle & Chickpea Cutlets

Working on a new PC tonight, so I'm keeping today's eats short & sweet. Lunch was a Burrito Bowl from Chipotle.Dinner was Chickpea Cutlets with Mustard & Caper Sauce and a Baked Sweet Potato.

Dessert was more Rice Dream Mudd Pie...
