Saturday, June 30th

Kashi Autumn Wheat with Almond Milk for breakfast.
Mr. SV drug me out into the heat for lunch at La Mezzaluna Cafe and I'm glad he did. As usual, the Garden Salad shared 'family style'...
the Garlic Knots made without butter..
and the Penne Pasta with Broccoli & Marinara.
Dinner was the Nigerian Peanut Soup from Vegan Fire and Spice. This was the recipe I saw on Molly's blog that finally forced me to buy this cookbook. Unfortunately, now that Molly has switched to a new blog, I can't find her original post to compare.
The last third of the Yellow Cake with Chocolate Icing from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert.
Thankfully, we didn't have any major damage from the storm, just lost internet and cable for the day.

Friday, June 29th

I figure everyone knows what PB & Banana looks like by now, so I skipped the breakfast photo. Took a half day at work and lunch at home wasn't until 2pm. I was starving and practically inhaled Asmar's Tuna Salad on WF's Rosemary Sourdough Bread with Potato Salad from Everlasting Life Cafe
Field Roast Franks and the rest of the Potato Salad for dinner.
WF's Blueberry Pie for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Will we dare to go out in the +100 degree heat?

Thursday, June 28th

PB & Banana for breakfast...
Lunch was carryout from Paradise Biryani Pointe where I started with Vegetable Samosa $6 ...
and then some very spicy Vegetable Curry $10 with tons of blindingly White Rice.
Dinner was Field Roast Franks (so excited to find these. I stocked up) and Corn on the Cob (from Delaware, not sure why it would come from north of us when it hasn't come into season here). Then there was Yellow Cake with Chocolate Icing from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert. You'll have to take my word on both meals, as I can't get the pics uploaded again. Hopefully, tomorrow they'll show up.

WTF Wednesday

A Rising Sun Smoothie Experiment for breakfast (a Tablespoon of Spirulina is waay too much for a single Smoothie. Tasted extremely green and made a big mess. Lesson learned).
Tofurky Italian Deli Sandwich for lunch..
The day started with a Rising Sun and ended with Rising Moon Spinach Florentine Ravioli.
Two more scorching hot work days till the weekend. Hope there's good grub involved. Stay tuned.

WTF Monday

Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market for breakfast.
Color me thrilled to see that Trader Joe's now has Gardein Crispy Tenders in their frozen food case for $2.99/eight ounce bag. That's a saving of at least $1/bag.
With Heinz-57, half a bag was my delicious lunch today.
Tempeh and leftover Lentils from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner.
Yellow Cake with Chocolate Icing from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert. The bomb.
Coming up tomorrow: Back to sitting in my cube all morning, ruminating on a lunch destination.

Sunday, June 24th

Kashi Autumn Wheat with Almond Milk for breakfast.
A Black Bean Burger with Red Pepper Hummus $8 for lunch at Dish.
An action shot of some of our chickens devouring the above bun in seconds flat.
Most of our flowers were planted by the previous owner of our property, so it's cool to see something flourish successfully that I planted. That something is called Liatris.
En route to Cafe Green yesterday, I was planning to order the Tempeh & Avocado Sandwich. Upon arrival I learned that Sandwich was only available during weekdays. Tonight, I made my own simplified version.
Cookies and Pudding for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Working from home type food.

Saturday, June 23rd

A Groupon-induced breakfast at Cafe Green this morning where I started with a $3.50 glass of Iced Tea. It was Fair Trade and Organic and whatever else, but dang it was the most expensive glass of Iced Tea I've ever had (considering there were no refills). I tried putting the used tea bag in my water glass a few times, but it was spent.
My Continental Breakfast $12 - Tofu Scramble, Whole Wheat Pancake, Tempeh Bacon & Sausage was exceptionally great. Wish I'd bought more Groupons for this place. There was a rich and creamy Chai flavored Raw Cashew Milkshake $8 as well to jack up the bill to $40, but that pic didn't turn out (as is becoming the norm around here).
Carryout Fried Chicken (with a stray piece of Macaroni on top) ...
and Mac & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner.
We got extra carryout Mac & Cheese, Potato Salad & Yellow Cake from Everlasting Life Cafe, so lots of that to look forward to this week (assuming I can focus the camera and upload the pics).

Friday, June 22nd

Another PB & Banana Breakfast.
A Groupon-induced lunch at Brooklyn's Deli. The pic of my Veggie Wrap $8.99 was out of focus and while I had sworn to never post an out of focus pic on the blog again, here is just a postage stamp size glimpse. My word is apparently not bond.
Half a Raspberry Lemon Whoopie Pie from Sticky Fingers for dessert (of the dinner I didn't photograph either).
Coming up tomorrow: Trying to get the blog back on track.

Thursday, June 21st

Self-explanatory breakfast.
A very untasty Lentil Dal Wrap from WF's for lunch...
as well as some Hearts of Palm, Tabbouleh and Chickpeas.
Eggless Egg Salad from The Common Market for dinner with some Potato Chips.
It's a miracle the blog survives. I really thought that once I couldn't get the dessert pics loaded to my laptop last night that that was 'the end'. Strange.

WTF Wednesday

Cascadian Farms Cinnamon Crunch Cereal with Almond Milk for breakfast.
Hummus on an English Muffin with Spinach, Onion and Tomato, aka 'Shenwich', for lunch.
TJ's Chickenless Chicken and my leftover Lentils from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner.
A few squares of a Theo Cherry Almond Bar for dessert.
A great food day.

WTF Tuesday

PB & Jelly on an English Muffin for breakfast...
Mr. SV brought in from Thai Deelish for lunch today. My Green Curry $8.95...
The last of my BBQ Seitan with Mac & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe for dinner.
Vegan  Cookie Parfait from The Common Market for dessert...
It's just Crumbled Cookies on Chocolate Pudding. Hard to go wrong with that.
Some of my weeds photographed today because it's my blog and I can post what I want.
Butterfly Weed (it looks like little choir singers to me)
A pond plant...
Coming up tomorrow: Different working from home grub.
