Tuesday, June 5th

Today started well with a nice sugar high off my 1/4 danish...
Lunch was a comforting cup of Adobo Black Bean Soup...
and a bunch of beige/brown carby stuff off the WF's Salad Bar...but then things took a turn for the worse. I became hell bent on making myself sick with the TJ's Chocolate Covered Almonds I keep in my desk drawer.
I succeeded in that endeavor. So dinner was just some Daiya melted on a slice of WF's Pumpernickle to settle my stomach.
Maybe tomorrow will be a more nutritious day.

Danish looks super yummy, I would probably wash it down with a coffee (to balance the sweetness, and to eat more danish).

That's a nice bean fest happening at lunch.

Note to self: do not buy the chocolate covered almonds when TJ arrives. P.S. There will actually be two stores, one will be in Boulder - but I didn't want to go, and fight the crowds after a 45 minute drive.

I actually had soup from WF for lunch today too - it was chilly out but nice enough to eat outside, if I had the soup to keep warm.
Then I made myself sick on granola. WE ARE LIKE TOTALLY TWINS

That soup looks so good! I love black bean soup. It would have been perfect today, it was kind of chilly here!

Boo for the chocolate almonds fail! It sounds tasty though, too bad they turned on you!

The dinner looks like the perfect comeback though. Hope you are feeling better!

9 out of 10 days I feel like going in to work is a waste of time so I know how you feel.

That sounds like a great food day, actually. So now you're down to just a quarter of the danish, not a third? That has to be a gargantuan danish, or I'm just a pig. I love chocolate covered almonds; they are the cause of at least ten of my extra pounds.

I would get myself in trouble with chocolate covered almonds, too.

The soup looks fantastic!

Hey Now!!!!

Ingrid, I don't understand the business logic behind Trader Joes approach to the Denver area. I'm just warning you to protect yourself physically and mentally once they do open. It does sound like you are initally prepared.

FF, wow, that is soo cool that we both had some nice soup and then totally gorged ourselves! If only I'd known about my cosmic twin yesterday when I felt all vurpy.

VaVa, familiarity breeds contempt. The CC Almonds turning on me was totally my fault. I was asking for it.

GFHTummy, thanks for looking!

Blessed Mama, this Danish is so humongous. It's like the size of an old vinyl record album. I need to document some scale next time I buy one so people know I'm not exagerrating.

Molly, if I had stopped after a bowl of the soup the day would have been so different. Live and learn.
