Salad and Ravioli

Lunch was at The Wine Kitchen in Leesburg. I had the Winter Salad -- Spinach, Kale, Roasted Butternut Squash, Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette and Pine Nuts for $9. Plus a $10 glass of Sparkling Wine.
Dinner was Spinach Ravioli served on top of Tomato Sauce to showcase the pasta...
I was going to eat more stuff after this, but I was too full from dinner to do so. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

You know, I think I might actually like my ravioli better served on top. I always like to use red sauce sparingly anyway because I like the taste of plain pasta. I think I'll do that next time. Is that the Soyboy ravioli? I love that stuff.

That salad looks and sounds yummy! I didn't know that brand of ravioli had vegan options...good to know. Thanks!

Hi! I've been reading your blog for a while now and have enjoyed reading about your outings to local restaurants. I live in NoVa and frequent some of the spots you eat at. Question, did you find the Wine Kitchen in Leesburg vegan friendly?

Thanks, Ladies!

Hi Krystal! The Wine Kitchen is vegan friendly in that they know what the word vegan means. I verified my salad was vegan before ordering. The waiter originally said the soup of the day, Celery Root, was vegan, but then the manager said it had some cream. So that was cool that they didn't serve it to me. I wouldn't have known any better. Also, I just bought a 'Groupon' yesterday for the Wine Kitchen. You should do so as well because I think it's pretty expensive for the portions/pours. Thanks again for saying 'Hi'.
