Lunch was the Lotus Burger and Fries from Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant. Next time I'll tell them to leave that 'white stuff' off.
Dinner was Celebration Field Roast with Heinz-57 and Veganomicon's Broccoli Polenta. Vegan Tickles wrote about the polenta a few weeks ago and peaked my interest. Unfortunately, I did not care for the dish at all. Fortunately, it only cost pennies to make and the rest can easily be fed to my feathered friends to no ill effect.
Dessert was two more of the burnt Muffins. Just about six or so more to go...
Lots of Lost Vineyards Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon...

I haven't seen that recipe (although I guess I could go pull out the book) but I'm not a big polenta fan. I love grits, but something about the somewhat firm texture of polenta really turns me off. I hope the feathered friends enjoy it.
sorry you didnt like the polenta, but you are right, the birdies will eat it up QUICK, cooked or not cooked.(while we are on the subject) do your ducks eat scratch? mine only eats the crumbles and im wondering if its her being spoiled or do most ducks dislike it?
where do you keep your stuff that makes it last so long?
How nice of you to share your goodies with your feathered friends! :)
I actually really like polenta...
Gasp! A recipe from Isa that doesn't work? Nooooo!
I haven't tried polenta yet...maybe I will brave it some day. At least your feathered friends like it!
I'll take your polenta if you dont want it.
i didn't care for the broccoli polenta, either. i can't seem to brown polenta without it absorbing a lot of oil or crumbling apart. oh well at least yours got eaten!
Hello, Ladies!
Thanks for your Polenta condolences! Maybe I just didn't cook it correctly. I usually love Polenta.
