Back To Small Font

Lunch was steamed vegetables off the Wegman's Hot Bar as well as a cup of Red Lentil Chili.
Dinner was Tofu Scramble with Potatoes and Yves Breakfast Patties.
No dessert tonight. After preparing dinner, I had Jalapeno juice on my fingers and accidentally touched my eye. Tons of burning ensued that soon some how spread to both eyes. Shortly thereafter I touched my nose and that is still burning. Not to get into more tedious detail but it was not the best evening. At least there was...lots of Liberty Creek Cabernet Sauvignon!

Argh! That's awful! One year we grew habaneros, and I brought a bunch in and chopped them up...the fumes!!!! OMG, I thought I was going to die, and trust, I like hot things usually. It was awful.

To put it in perspective, at least you didn't go to the bathroom. If you know what I mean.

Yay, I can read again! Q: In between touching your first and second eye or touching your nose, did you wash that pepper off your hands?? Next time, call me, and I'll help you, S.V., sweetie.

Oh no! I am super sensitive to peppers on my skin. I hope you are doing better now! Dinner looks most excellent, though. I am rarely hungry for breakfast but I love scrambles and taters for supper.

Sorry to hear about the jalapeno. I heard that milk cools the burning sensation in pepper...so maybe some soy milk would have helped?

Those veggies on your lunch plate look fab...so does the scramble.

Hello, Ladies!

Thanks for the Jalapeno condolences.

Stacy, there might have been some burning 'down there' as well. I didn't want to gross everyone out.

Blessed Mama, I need you here to take care of me! I was holding a damp paper towel over one burning eye and somehow the jalapeno oils spread on the paper towel to the other eye. Mr. SV kept telling me to wash my hands, but what does he know?

Sorry--I never shy away from grossing people out!

Oh, dear, I would have totally helped you!

Jalapeno condolences, indeed. I just realized my eyes were all squinted up while I was reading that.
