WFH Wednesday

Lunch was a half of a WF's Seitan Panini....
Then I went outside to photograph some of our chickens eating the Veganomicon's Broccoli-Polenta dish...
Unlike myself, they really enjoyed it!
These are our Guineas. The one on the left is looking at you!
Dinner was Chickpea Cutlets with Mustard Sauce (Vegenaisse & Dijon 50/50 stirred up w/Capers), Roasted Cauliflower and Zucchini Pancakes.
Dessert was a Blessed Mama Chocolate Chip Pecan Bar. Tastes like a Twix Bar but better! By tomorrow it should probably have chilled enough to cut a nice straight edged piece.
Lots of Lost Vineyards Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon...

Fun to see your chickens eating your leftovers! I am going to have to look up that twix-style recipe. We rarely eat desserts here, but a homemade one would be well received.

Okay, S.V., here is a 100% legitimate offer: when my husband, G, saw your picture of my bars, he said, "You gotta mail her a box of yours!" Not that that's any reflection on your bar, ahem. Anyways, so if your bars still have the same flattened tendency tonight, e-mail me your address, and I'll ship a box to you. I'll make them on Tuesday and overnight them to you, so you can be home on WFH Wednesday to pick them up. Blessedmama@pacbell.net Let me know. :-)

You can see from your pics how much the chickens loved that polenta! They must be such fun to have around. Love the shot of the Guinea fowl...she/he is like: "Hey, what are you lookin' at."

Hello, Ladies!

Thanks for your nice words about my babies. They are wonderful birds, each one has their own distinct personality. Don't believe anyone who says chickens aren't smart, cuz these birds are clever and funny. I especially love when they sing.

Blessed Mama, it's my fault for photographing the bars before they set. We just couldn't wait to taste them and they were fanfriggintastic!
