Tuesday, January 29th

You know...
A Burrito Bowl from Chipotle for lunch.
So word on the street is that Lorna Doones are vegan....
Apparently, I've had this option in my office vending machine for a long time, but nobody told me.
These were decent.  Didn't make me feel gross like when I ate the Twizzlers and Mike and Ikes.
Boca Chickn Patties and Broccoli for dinner.
Half a Chocolate Cupcake from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert.
Back to working from home cuisine tomorrow.

Let me know what you can find at the liquor store! From what I understand, Stoli is the only brand that makes the salted caramel flavor. I e-mailed them to see if it is vegan :) I am not a big drinker but I may have to make an exception for this!

Great looking meals today! I was just thinking that it's been a while since I had Chipotle. Your burrito bowl looks good. Looks like they loaded up the guac which is always good in my book.

So random that the Lorna Doone's are vegan! Glad they agreed with you... at least more so than the other stuff did. That cupcake is elegant as always and great dinner pic!

Chipotle bowl looks mighty fine. Looks like it was half lettuce and half guac on top. Why can't they just even things out? ;)

I realized recently that I owe you a Remy picture. Will do that this weekend!

Chipotle always gets it right... Except when the guacamole maker gets jalapeno happy, i'm too wimpy for those.
Lorna doones were one of my mom's favorite cookies when i was a kid- she has now moved on to those mint milanos. Anyways. Word on the street is nutter butters are another acidentally vegan cookie in case thats news to you.
I either want dark chocolate or sorbet or ice cream for desserts. I usually stick to coconut bliss dk chocolate or the coconut flavor. Right now im in a dark chocolate covered candied ginger rut.
I actually hate cherry anything yet like most all other fruit. I blame the daylow pink cherry flavor medicine i had to take as a kid.

Auuugh I can't believe you actually Lorna Doone'd yrself!! Did you have them with coffee or tea or almond milk at least?? They tasted like nothing to me, just dry.
Also, mine at work are a dollar, not .75 cents so screw that. I'd rather eat an Elegant Creation.

Some day I'll eat at Chipotle. Some day.....

I've never had Lorna Doones, either, but that's good to know that they're vegan! We make pit stops at gas stations for some road trip junk food every once in a while when we travel & those would be perfect.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, that is so cool that you emailed Stoli. If they are as classy a corporation as they appear, you will get a gracious reply soon.

Ingrid, a new Chipotle employee had her own 'style' of slapping on the Guac and Lettuce on separate sides of the bowl. Who am I to stifle her creativity? Looking forward to a Remy pic. I think it's time for Remy to get a companion for company during the day, don't you?

Unknown, I've never had Jalapeño Happy Guac. Must be a NY thing. I knew about the Nutter Butters being vegan, thanks though, and I too, have strong childhood ties to Lorna Doones. Too long a story for the blog. So no Cherry Cordials for you, eh?

FF, dry and tasteless the Lorna Doones may have been, at least they didn't make me feel like Red Dye #2 was seeping out of my pores. We all know the cost of living is much higher in NYC so 25 cents is a small price to pay for being able to pop into Liquiteria on a moment's notice.

Molly, so no Chipotle and no Lorna Doones? I can't say you're missing much. Definitely, Not worth eating from a gas station. It hasn't gotten that dire yet.

I've never heard of Lorna Doones before, and strangely when I first read that it was vegan, I assumed you meant "she," and was thinking of Lena Dunham whose name I remembered after looking it up. So even though Lena Dunham isn't vegan, I'm happy for you to have a new snack option. Update: apparently Lena Dunham IS vegan. Weird comment this has turned into.
