Saturday, January 26th

A warming cup of Chili to start the day at Black Bear Bistro...
followed by the Vegan Burger to continue enjoying the day.
Mr. SV made Spaghetti and TJ's Meatless Meatballs for dinner.
There are a ton of desserts in the fridge begging to be eaten, but I am somehow able to resist again tonight. Anyway, I always enjoy seeing every one's grocery hauls. Below is not really a grocery haul, it depicts what has been my bi-weekly shopping trip/workout for many years. The consequence of sustaining seven felines and 15 fowl (give-or-take a few). It's not easy.
Yes, that is Walmart in the background. I know what everyone is thinking: 'How did she get that excellent parking space?' Just lucked out I guess.

In re: the Lorna Doones, that is weird and also gross. I did check and while they had some horrible ingredients in them, they looked vegan. more like this ingredient list: http://www.amazon.com/Lorna-Doone-Shortbread-Cookies-10-Ounce/dp/B000FA38ZO Either way I will never eat them again.
ANYWAY let's put that behind us and talk about those huge ass bags. A workout for sure. I like to imagine you packing all 7 felines and 15 fowl in the car with you to scare off anyone trying to get a better parking spot.

That is quite the workout! Is that a mini Cooper? Looks like a cute car, whatever it is.

Great start to your day and it kept that trend up through the spaghetti. Nothing like a delicious weekend to refresh you!

I'm making a bee-line for the LDs first thing tomorrow. If they are in fact vegan, this is huge news. Bigger than when I found out Junior Mints were vegan.

Yep, I bring home about 300 pounds worth of kitty litter and chicken feed combined every other week. Great upper body workout.

Molly,

Yes, it's a Mini Cooper. It's a great car. I highly recommend it.

Wow, that really is a crazy workout!!! Looks like you properly fueled up for that shopping trip. That is A LOT of lifting between getting it in the store then putting it in the car then unloading. That is impressive. You are such a good mom to the critters :)

Great looking meals! That vegan burger looks delicious and Mr. SV always makes great looking spaghetti and meatless meatballs. You should eat that the night before your shopping trips to carb load.

A nice way to start the weekend. Especially the chili. I have a big pot of beans on the stove right now.

Your haul reminds me of the giant bags of dog food we had stacked in the shed growing up. We lived in the country and usually had at least 5 dogs.

VaVa, the workout is really super unpleasant in the summer. Not as bad in the winter.

Nikki, how lucky to have had five dogs. Wish I could up the dog population in my house, but Mr. SV would freak.

Never commented before, but just wanted to tell you that you're hilarious. I laughed out loud at the Walmart comment!
