WTF Monday

Eggless Egg Salad for breakfast.
Field Roast Franks with TJ's Tots for lunch.
Celebration Field Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy with Roasted Butternut Squash for dinner.
A third of a piece of Spice Cake from Everlasting Life Cafe for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Mandatory work lunch, so no pics of that impending debacle.

Haha i probably wouldn't photograph a mandatory work lunch either. Although I can't wait to hear you recount the experience. Do they know you are vegan and do they do anything to accommodate that?

Your meals look great as always! I'm digging the sides, can't go wrong with tots and the squash looks delicious. You are torturing me with this spice cake! ;)

Oh, I'm craving tofu salad now!

The work lunch sounds forboding; give 'em heck Shen...make sure they have some decent vegan offerings!!

Boo! Work lunches are never great - at least on my end. Last week we had an evening training on Tuesday, and they brought it lard laden Mexican food. I couldn't even have chips and salsa, as they used lard in the corn chips! Ugh!

Anyway, at least you were able to work from home today and eat Field Roast Franks. And tots.

You certainly seem to have hit a nerve here with the mention of work lunch. One time a couple jobs ago, I went to a work "celebration lunch" and there was nothing vegan except some boring salad and the whole place smelled like fish, and the smell got into my clothes - so gross. The next year I planned ahead and actually contacted the person who was planning the party, and she made sure there was a vegan dish other than salad.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, my coworkers know I'm vegan but, trust me, of everyone in the group, I am the most easy going about eating out because I love food so much. But I'm sure they think that we're going where I want to please me.

Rose, I picked a very mainstream pizzeria that has lots of tortured and murdered animals for everyone. Fortunately, the lunch was cancelled at the last minute. Thank God!!!

Ingrid, sounds like you could've done better with Taco Bell. Their Bean Burritos with no cheese are vegan for future reference. I love Field Roast Franks and Tots so much.

Miss Rachel, after years of that situation you described, I've learned to actually love the Iceberg Lettuce Salad with Oil & Vinegar. Hard to believe, but it makes me happy seeing it offered on menus.
