Sunday, October 21st

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast.

Lunch was at  Mellow Moods, where Mr SV & I each began with a cup of Veggie Chili...

and I had the Vegan Avocado Reuben...

Yesterday, I picked up a Turnip at the Farmer's Market in Luray. This evening, Poley was just supposed to pose with the Turnip. Unfortunately, things rapidly escalated into a one dog Turnip feeding frenzy. I was able to rescue the Root Vegetable before it was too late.
Celebration Field Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy (I added a couple re-hydrated Shitake Mushrooms to the Gravy for texture) and Roasted Turnip for dinner.
Coming up tomorrow: Working from home grub.

Mmmm cinnamon harvest. Aww sweet Poley!! Love that face, so precious! An avocado rueben!? Avocado seriously makes everything even better. yum! Gotta love the thumbprints ;)

A telephoto lens will make the landscape appear much closer. I think that adding contrast make help achieve more of a color pop that you are going for. Do you use Mac? You can put the pic in iPhoto or any photo editing program you have and add some contrast. It may help :)

Checking out the Mellow Moods site, I've not been to WV. I enjoy how you and the Mister take small trips around, showcasing the vegan finds! Their juice bar menu sounds really fantastic.

Poley is so cute. Remy loves cauliflower, so if he smells/sees me with one - I'm attacked.

Lunch looks sooo good. I love the pieces of bread sticking out of the cup of chili, and the sandwich looks like a delicious combination. I love the action shot of Poley and the turnip. I don't know if Blue eats turnips, but he has eaten raw broccoli and Brussels sprouts.

man the reuben and the chili look so great.
I'm jealous of people who have pets that like vegetables! Cats just don't. Or not my cat anyway, although she does love nutritional yeast.

Hey Now!!!!

GFHTummy, yep, great cereal and a great pup. Guess it was an all right post.

VaVa, thanks for the tips on the contrast. I do use iphoto now with the new Macbook. I'll take some fall foliage pics this weekend and see if I can spice them up a little.

Ingrid, ruh-roh! Being attacked by Remy sounds like it could possibly result in some serious ankle kisses.

Mary, the restaurant did a nice job with the Chili presentation. I'll have to buy another Turnip just for the pup.

Miss Rachel, I never knew Poley ate Turnips. This was the first one either of us has ever encountered.

FF, Haxan would probably love some grass. Might want to buy her a little pot of it at the local pet store.
