Monday, October 8th

Tofutti Cream Cheese on a piece of Raisin Walnut Toast for breakfast...
Black Bean Adobo Chili (because the only other vegan soup option was Mushroom Barley which I don't care for)...
and Salad Bar Salad from WF's for lunch.
Then a Cashew Fruit & Nut Bar (they were BOGO at WF's today). It was surprisingly enjoyable.
The annoying bumper sticker I had to look at while waiting in traffic to get to WF's.
WF's Seitan and Roasted Acorn Squash for dinner.
A mystery Cupcake from A Better Choice Bakery for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: WFH Grub so anticipate seeing some Eggless Egg Salad.

Definitely a great food day! I wish I could eat your breakfast every day for the rest of my life. The black bean soup always looks great and you made yourself a pretty salad. It's always nice to find something new almost by accident, glad the bar was yummy! Your squash looks perfect and yay for cupcakes!!

A very tasty day. Where do you find the Raisin Walnut bread? Lovely salad at lunch, and the acorn squash looks really fantastic. How do you prepare it?

Mystery Cupcake. . .was there a prize inside?

Bumper stickers say different things, but they often have the same message: I'm crude and stupid. Nice looking food, especially the cupcake.

Love the appearance of the acorn squash! My most beloved squash. And tofutti cream cheese on raisin bread is an old favorite of mine. Really good looking eats. Especially that cupcake :)

I would have sworn that bumper sticker would have been attached near an Arkansas license plate. I guess stupid is universal. Long post! Did you solve the mystery?

That salad looks rockin'. I'd opt for black bean over barley too.

What is mysterious about the cupcake?

As for the bumper sticker...if that guy ate vegetables, maybe he wouldn't be so stupid. His brain needs vitamins!

That mystery cupcake does look mysterious, indeed, although delicious too.

We see far too many moronic bumper stickers like that here.

Hey Now!!!

GFHTummy, Thanks! It was a pretty gpod food day.

VaVa, i usually dont like these health bars but this one was decent.

Ingrid, the bread is from a local bakery callef Canela. It was a mysterious cupcake because we didn't know what kind it was.

Miss Rachel, now you tell me. I was feeling pretty burned up about that sticker.

Nikki, Acorn Squash is undervalued I believe.

Jenny, Such a stupid sticker on so many levels, I may need to buy a gun in the event of future sightings. We still dont know what kind of Cupcake it was.

Rose, only those at the bottom of the food chain are worthy of vitamins.

Molly, we mainly have political and Va Tech stickers in this region. How awful to display ones ignorance so blatantly.

Do you toast breakfast bread? Something about the smell of toast in the morning is so comforting....
And i firmly believe that darwin's theory of evolution will prevail...
Although i once saw one that said "save a cow, eat a vegetarian" and my filthy mind giggled

The roasted acorn squash looks especially yummy! I guess at least the truck driver pointed out that he is indeed an idiot so those around him can steer clear.
