Friday, April 27th

Cucumber and Cream Cheese on WF's Russian Black Bread for breakfast.
Gardein Crispy Tenders with Heinz-57 for lunch.
Blessed Mama's Maple Glazed Seitan Roast and Roasted Cauliflower for dinner.
WF's Red Pepper Hummus with Pizzettina Crackers for dessert.
We knew a bear had come through the yard last night cuz our backyard bird feeder was missing and the pole it was hanging from had been bent to the ground. At 4pm today, I looked out the kitchen window and saw this little baby looking for seconds. This was the best pic I could get on short notice.
Coming up tomorrow: More Cucumber and Cream Cheese.

omg! That baby bear! Do you think it was she who came into the yard, or are there more? Wow.
Very nice cuke slices, too.

What a great picture! Do you often get bears nosing around your property? Closer to the foothills we've had issues with bears and mountain lions, but down here it's mostly the occasional fox.

Sounds like an appetizing day! Glad you had the day off!

OMG a baby bear in the yard! That is so cool, what a cutie she is too! Very cool photo, thanks for sharing!

Sounds like another yummy food day. Breakfast looks great as usual and love gardein tenders. Miss those! I've been wanting to roast cauliflower, I need to get some when I go to the store.

Hooray for vacation days and baby bears! And the weekend :)

That's so awesome that there was a baby bear in your yard! Kind of scary, considering how protective their mamas can be, but very cool at the same time.

Hey Now!!!! So this response is much better than when I posted the pic of the Mama Turkey and her brood last year. Then it was all, "We see wild turkeys all the time. Yawn!"

FF, we don't know who took the feeder. Whomever/ whoever did it, it's gone now;-(

Ingrid, we get bears in the spring and fall. This was our first time seeing a lone baby during the day.

VaVa, it was a good food day. These vacations go by way too fast.

Molly, we watched the baby bear wander into our neighbor's yard and out of sight. Never saw the Mama. Hope the little baby was ready to be on its own cuz I think that's how it is.
