WTF Thursday

A great American breakfast: Nature's Path Corn Flakes with Hemp Milk...
A 'Tofurky Hickory Deli Slice Sandwich' for lunch. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a second Sandwich after this one...
Japanese Golden Chop with Roasted Carrots for dinner. I have FF to thank for getting me into the Roasted Carrot thing. They're easier to cook that Potatoes. Who knew?
The other half of a Vegan Treats Brownie via Loving Hut for dessert. No clue what that line down the center of the Brownie is. I didn't do it. Sometimes I'm surprised when I see photos of food that I've eaten. Either because of missed details (like the Brownie line) or because I see cat hairs that I've apparently consumed unknowingly...
Venturing out in the frigid temps tomorrow just to have lunch with my mother.

How horrible is this cold weather?! Ugh I can't stand it! I feel like a broken record but this will be my tune until the spring thaw... then I'll be bitching about pollen haha.

Looks like you've had some yummy looking classic meals here! Tofurkey deli slices are really good, I don't blame you for going back in for more. I haven't had then in so long but I definitely remember enjoying them a lot. For some reason I haven't gotten into roasted carrots... I love chomping into them raw! Your dinner does look really great though. Can't go wrong with a great brownie for dessert!

I know what you mean about looking back at pics. Sometimes I look back and can't even believe that I put that meal together, ha!

Good luck in the cold tomorrow! Hope you and your mom have a nice comforting and warming lunch.

Ya know, it's not lying if you just casually omit the fact that you might have eaten a second sandwich. But perhaps you have more morals than I.
Glad ya diggin on the roasted carrots. They are super easy and cook real quickly (basically the only two things I want in a food.) I'll have to thank you for getting me back into them soon... they look good here.
I too have eaten my fair share of cat hair. Usually I find it while I'm eating and just shrug and continue on...

New sandwich bread! Looks nice and dark- do you ever get german black bread? That's super flavorful. I would have had seconds on those olives too....
Your roasted carrots look delicious- love how they cook so quickly too.
Hope you and mom find something warm and delightful for lunching!

The local papers have had no mercy with de blasio and the storm mess- makes for clever headlines anyhow...at least he was here (vs bloomberg "directing" from the bahamas last year with the day after xmas blizzard)

I would have had a larger side, so we'll consider the second sandwich a side dish. ;)

The brownie looks so fantastic, indentation and all!!

You'll want something hot, so my guess includes not having a salad.

No need to worry until you cough up a furball.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, supposedly there are 52 days till spring. But who's counting? I am not a fan of raw Carrots, that's why I'm surprised I like them roasted. I've seen some really gorgeous goodies on your blog. Much to be proud of.

FF, I have no idea why I post my daily food let alone why I feel the need to be honest about it. I am cool with eating cat hair. It's just when I've UNKNOWINGLY eaten cat hair that I get concerned.

Unknown, I think I've had Russian Black Bread. Probably similar to German. Don't think you'll be Citibiking again anytime soon based on what I see on NYPOST.COM. My mother got her S&S Cheesecakes today (I ordered one 7" plain & one 7" chocolate). The packaging was too challenging for her, she couldn't wait till I got there to try to open the boxes, so I'm not sure she will be able to judge the actual cakes objectively.

Ingrid, I really wanted something warm for lunch, but the restaurant I went to didn't have much for me other than Salad. It was okay though. I'll get to pick where I eat tomorrow.

Hannah, uh oh, guess I'd better start worrying;-(
