Friday, January 3rd

TJ's Cream Cheese on a Wegman's Pumpernickel Bagel for breakfast...
'Mixed Vegetables and Tofu' (#22) $8.95 from Loving Hut for lunch. I left it on the stove too long while reheating, but it still tasted great as blackened...
Will I ever get the pot cleaned? Mr. SVegetarian has given me hope that I will...
Earth Balance Vegan Buttery Flavor Popcorn for an afternoon snack. A little too salty for my tastes...
Delicata Squash and Mushrooms off the Wegman's Hot Bar and Blessed Mama's Sauteed Dino Kale with Criminis for dinner...
A Vegan Treats Chocolate Chip Cookie from Loving Hut for dessert. I tried to only eat half, but ended up eating the entire thing. I thought it was really good. Nice bit of chew. Not as bad as recent internet reviews would lead one to believe...
Perhaps something new or different tomorrow. Perhaps not.

Git some baking soda in that pan! I hate when that happens! Nice of mr. SV to give umm...moral support?
Delicata and mushrooms from dinner look fantastic. Not actually sure I've ever had delicata, but it's so pretty.
Yr VT ccc looks different from the one I had. maybe yrs was fresher?

Oh no! Whenever I blacken a pan I get bummed out then I scrub scrub scrub. At least your lunch was saved and I'm sure the pot was saved as well. Great looking meals as always and that dinner sounds fantastic!! And yay for cookies! Did you heat yours a little? Warm cookies are the best.

Fully Raw Kristina is hosting the challenge and she chose the date... no idea why the 5 but it gives me a few extra days to prepare. I wanted to follow along with her because she'll be posting videos every day for inspiration and with a strict cleanse like this I think I'll need all of the inspiration I can get ;)

Glad you were able to stay warm and didn't get too much snow!

I see you've been eating very well so far this year. Too bad about the pan, but I think with a little bit of elbow grease it'll be good again.

I adore delicata squash. Definitely one of my favorites.

Lunch looks like it came out ok- i've burned gunk onto the bottom of many pans. If all else fails spray it (outside!!) with oven cleaner and let it sit a while and rescrub. The popcorn sounds yummy, too bad it was so salty.....
Dinner looks amazing! Those are all three favorite vegetables of mine, well is fungus a vegetable?
Anyways, that cookie does look better than average.

Glad the snow didn't get you too badly, just enough here to paralyze the city and create slushfest '14 in the coming days. I drank my body weight in hot tea and soup today.

Nah, you don't need to clean that. It's like your own personal version of "wok hei".

Bar Keeper's Friend - it's what I have to use when I decorate the pots and pans similarly. ;)

Colorful eats this Friday!

I hope you've been able to dig out, or been enjoying the snuggles inside!

Hey Now!!!!

FF, I just dumped Baking Soda in the pan (I assume with some water?). I, too, noticed my Cookie didn't look like yours. Your Cookie was thicker. Which of us had the impostor VT Cookie? Mine wasn't wrapped in plastic wrap.

Sarah, you have the energy to scrub scrub scrub. I am more of a soak soak soak type of person. I didn't heat the Cookie, although that is a good reminder for next time. Thanks for the info on the cleanse. I will watch it to see if I can do it too.

RVs, I am trying to eat well. I've certainly had enough practice eating that you would think I'd know what I was doing by now. But you would be wrong.

Unknown, I'm using FF's Baking Soda suggestion right now so hopefully, I wont need to buy oven cleaner. The Fungi was really the best part of dinner last night. You don't see anyone eating just Mushrooms for dinner though. Slush must mean it's melting up there from the heat of the city? We're not getting any melting here.

Hannah, another interesting suggestion from you. It may come to that, because I really do use that pan a lot.

Ingrid, thanks, I think Mr. SV might have some Barkeepers Friend if FF's Baking Soda suggestion doesn't 'pan' out. We're getting out and about now before Tuesday's big freeze.
