Saturday, January 25th

No breakfast again today due to the combination of sleeping in late and not knowing what to eat. Lunch was at Loving Hut where I decided to branch out and try something different. 'Tofu Jalapeno Saute ' (#24) $8.95 Tofu sauteed with Onions, Bell Peppers and Jalapeno. Served with Steamed Broccoli, Cucumber, Tomato and Rice. This dish had a fantastic spicy sauce, really enjoyed it, but I probably will continue to stick with #22 as my go-to favorite...
The rest of the Hard Times Cafe Chili on Pasta for dinner. Thanks to Unknown for reminding me to add Onions...
Vegan Treats Blueberry Cheesecake $5 from Loving Hut for dessert....
Anyway, that's about it. Peace out.

Haha I love more than anything that you ended your post by saying peace out. That made me very happy :)

Look at you branching out at Loving Hut! The spicy meal sounds fantastic. I love a good spicy punch in the face every once in a while ;) Glad you enjoyed it but I definitely also understand sticking with the classics. Dinner looks great as well and hooray for cheesecake! Looks decadently delicious.

Hope to see some yummy breakfasty/brunchy type items tomorrow! Although sleeping late is pretty awesome too.

Those red chili flakes on your lunch are making my eyes water from over here!! Fun to branch out and try new dishes though. The lonely single slice of tomato makes me giggle.
Love the onions on the chili! I'll put raw onion on anything.... And your cheesecake looks amazing, nice and dense.

That sounds like some packing overkill on those cheesecakes! I'm headed for an overpriced brunch at a painfully trendy not even a little bit vegan friendly restaurant sunday (her birthday)..... Hope you have more delicious plans.

Oh, I would love that jalapeno dish! I add fresh jalapenos to pho bo soup and salt and pepper tofu. Mm-mmm!

I like the sound of the jalapeno dish too, though I'm usually more of a find one thing you like and eat it forever kind of person. So disappointing when culinary risktaking doesn't work out.
So envious of those cheescakes.

I'm really not a very good human because I have no problem with you skipping breakfast but never fail to poke fun when you miss dessert. Oops.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, I don't know how people come up with post endings. They're harder to come up with than post titles.

Unknown, thanks so much for reminding me to add the Onions to the Chili. Wish I could go to a trendy brunch spot. I love brunch. Was it at Balthazar?

Blessed Mama, have you gone to the Loving Hut in Elk Grove? If not, why not?

FF, it's so great when one can rely on a single great dish time after time. Branching out usually is a fail, but ya never know.

Hannah, a good post for your blog would be how you were raised in terms of your parents withholding sweets until you ate all your vegetables. i.e., how you developed such an extreme sweet tooth.
