Ye Olde Grapefruit and Energy Bites for Breakfast....
Lunch was at California Pizza Kitchen. My 'Roasted Veggie Salad' $13.59 was much larger than when I get it as carryout. Warm Artichoke Hearts, Asparagus, Eggplant, Red and Yellow Peppers, Corn, Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Avocado served on Romaine. Fat-Free Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side...

Bread no longer automatically comes with the meal. You have to ask for it. Which we did...
Dinner was the remains of my Salad from lunch alongside some WF's Sesame Tofu...
An LPQ Hemp Seed Blondie for dessert....
Back to the 'same old' tomorrow, so check back in again on Saturday.

Was the bread free, even if you had to ask for it?
Nice lil blondie... now that I know what it tastes like I feel calmer seeing it.
PS about the montreal bagels - I thought I had heard that they aren't vegan? I think milks or an egg wash or something distinguish them from NYC bagels. I could look it up but I'm lazy. Or maybe it was just one specific brand.

"contains egg and is boiled in honey-sweetened water" Not that it really applies to Hannah but in case you got the itch.
Also, bigger hole? Skimpin'

I'm going to hire you to peel my grapefruits for me. You have some skills.

The salad looks fantastic, as does the bread. I can see how the tofu would go well with it.

If it's back to the same old, I hope you get to WFH!

I've often wondered if take-out versions were the same size as in-house dishes. I could have sworn take-outs were smaller at the some of the restaurants.

I knew it!! I swear take out is always a smaller portion! Looks like a great salad actually- no pale tomato slices and sad carrot shreds there. Weird they didn't bring you bread or at least ask if you wanted it...... And with the tofu that's a great idea.
Love the hemp blondie- it's the perfect size.

You're going to have to recant the montreal bagel statement. Those puffy bready boiled in honey water rings are a sad pale imitation of the original....
Hope the same old includes food made by the Mr!

That CPK salad doesn't look half bad, but the price tag sure is hefty. I seem to recall their split pea soup is also vegan?

Does the takeout version cost the same?

Is it me or does that salad look extra pretty today?! I think it looks delicious, that's always been one of my favorite salads. Annoying that the bread doesn't come automatically but it looks like it was worth asking for. Love some good bread with olive oil.

Every time I see that blondie I want to grab it through the screen and cram it in my face.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, thankfully, the CPK bread was still gratis, otherwise all hell would've broken loose. Thanks for the Montreal Bagel deets. Now I'm glad I'll never get to try one.

Ingrid, peeling Grapefruits is easier than Oranges for me. Not sure why everyone doesn't eat them this way.

Blessed Mama, usually I think the take-out versions are smaller, but CPK really piled on the Salad and my mother's Pasta yesterday. Way more than we've ever gotten in the past.

Unknown, I'm wondering if CPK is now trying to go up against Cheesecake Factory in terms of massive portion sizes. I had no idea that Montreal Bagels weren't vegan. How come this is common knowledge to everyone but me?

Abby, yes, the CPK Split Pea Soup is vegan. It's also pricey. I'm not a fan of CPK, my mother likes to go there and I'm able to make the best of it.

Hannah, yes, the carryout version costs the same, however, they do have to cram it all into little containers though.

Sarah, you're so funny. I thought the Salad looked extra ugly yesterday, but still tasted good. Hard to go wrong with all those ingredients.
