Saturday, December 14th

Harrimans Grill today for breakfast. 'Tofu Scramble' $12 Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Green Onions, Tempeh Sausage (the menu still says 'Tempe Bacon') and Roasted Potatoes. There are two teenage boys who work there that seem to be the only ones with the ability to wait tables. It's always a relief when we get one of them as our server, as we did today...
Mr. SVegetarian enjoyed the Chocolate Croissants $5...
They also had gorgeous flowers on the tables today....
An 'Avocado Smoothie' $3.95 from Loving Hut for lunch. Tasted like a good old-fashioned Vanilla Milkshake...
WF's Salad for dinner....
Half a Chocolate Donut from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert....
Might not leave the house tomorrow, but there is plenty of good stuff stocked up to enjoy here.

Scramble looks great as always- i wonder if teenaged waiter boy has ever had the scramble of deliciousness there.
Vanilla avocado smoothie??? I'm gonna leave that to you.... My avocados stay on the savory side. Pretty color it is though. And whole foods salad bar is somehow superior to a homemade salad- although their salad dressing selection is pitiful/gross/full of crap ingredients.

Anyways. That donut half looks insane. Like it's being crushed by the weight of the amazing chocolatey toppings.
Nyc is hiding from the snow today- its flying sideways!

I'm not planning on leaving the house today, either. Wind chill is below zero!

It looks like you've been eating very well over the past few days. The smoothie sounds pretty awesome.

I'm nearly salivating at the look of the scramble. Yum. I need to switch up my breakfasts! Ha!

Ooh, I'm hoping you picked up some wonderful meals / treats from Loving Hut when you popped in for that smoothie.

I hope you're able to snuggle with a few animal members of the family and enjoy your day in the house!

Avocado smoothie sounds great. I've made raw avocado tarts before that were really creamy and nice.
Teenage boys are spry and full of youthful idealism - not yet jaded to the horrors of working in the food service industry. Hope you gave em a wink and a good tip.

I miss not having to leave the house. I mean, I know rationally that socialising and going out for dinner and drinks with friends is Important For The Soul.... BUT IT WON'T STOP SNOWING and I'd like to stay n bed all day.

The end.

PS Not actually the end. Because I wanted to add that the flower isn't as gorgeous as you.

How great to be treated to an AMAZING scramble and good service!! That's some good karma right there ;) Breakfast looks really delicious. The potatoes look great too. Definitely jealous of that brunch.

I would never guess that an avocado smoothie would taste like an old fashioned vanilla milkshake! I'm intrigued and definitely would love to try that in the future. Great looking salad and that donut looks incredible!! It looks really pretty and definitely something I probably wouldn't be able to only eat half of it!

Hey Now!!!!

Unknown, not even sure if there was any actual Avocado in that Smoothie, it was made behind the scenes and I couldn't taste anything other than Vanilla. Speaking of snow: I'm researching the Mulled WIne. Any recipes you recommend? If not, I think I'm going with Martha's: http://www.marthastewart.com/316587/glogg.

RVs, if we had a fireplace with purple fire, I'd never leave either. When are we going to meet Marvin????

Ingrid, you are correct! There will be some #22s and a slice of Cheesecake showing up here this week.

FF, it's been my intention for many years to make an Avocado Key Lime Pie. Maybe one day. I am not as enthusiastic about teenage boys as you are. I just happened to find two that can take a food order and deliver it correctly. They're not worthy of any extra attention from what I can tell.

Hannah, do you have to wear Mukluks when you go out to socialize in the Great White North? Thanks for the compliment. My beauty is often compared to that of a delicate flower.

Sarah, when you get down to Florida next year, we'll (hopefully) see you eating half cookies and cakes as well.
