Man I wish that salad bar wasn't so dang expensive! Eating healthy is always expensive though huh?

If there were a Whole foods here, I would have to splurge on those salads after seeing yours. They should give you free salads. Tell them you are promoting their salad bar! :o)

Chocolate covered cherries? I've never had such a thing, but I bet they're yummy! I love salad bars, but yeah, they can get a bit expensive.

After you cited the Times article on salad bar value, and the comments tonight on how expensive WF is, would you talk about whether you are able to control your pocketbook when you get your lunch? Wait - pocketbook is an antiquated word. Whatever you use to pay.

My guess is that those of use who don't eat at WF often load up on everything we want and get too much food. At least that's what I do. You probably manage your load-ins quite well.

'scuse me while I kiss the sky!

Okay, thank you all for the sweet words!

Michelle1, how's that posting every day for 30 days going? Regardless, I owe you an apology. I was using TANGERINES in my Smoothie, not NECTARINES. My mistake. Carry on with whatever you're so busy doing.

RE: WF's Salad Bar expense. Once I add in a Soup and Kombucha, I spend at least $10/day on lunch when I go to WFs. It's way up there.

I still get over-excited when I see something great like Tempeh Salad or Seitan and totally overload my container. No self control or money-saving tips.

My justification: Lunch is the highlight of my work day. Seriously. If you have other highlights, no need for such extravagance. For me, lunch is it.

Very good response on the lunch question. Don't tell anyone, but I'm imagining that you and I work the same job.
