Tres Typical

Navy Bean Soup from Mom's Place for lunch.
Boca Chik'n Patties with Rice & Beans for dinner. The holes in the Oregano canister are way big.
TJ's Chocolate Covered Cherries for dessert.
Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot.

The Mom's Place soup always looks like it's really tasty and will "stick to your ribs"...her restaurant is aptly named, I think.

Do you know what is in that Navy bean soup? Maybe I don't know what navy beans are, or how the soup is usually prepared but why is it orange?

I have the same question as foodfeud- is there tomato in it? I have some navy beans to use up, too...

Looks like you had some good food over the weekend!
That soup sure does look good. We're going to be driving to NJ again in June. I'm going to check with you before we leave to find a good place to stop over night, so I can have some good food. :o)

Now, I just thought you liked oregano! You could probably get some off with a puff of air.

This looks like great typical fare.

Thanks, Ladies!!!

Michelle1, did you see that Jenny was able to make the Chocolate Muffin Recipe successfully???

Rose, in a perfect world, all Moms would make delicious 'stick to your ribs' food.

FF & Dianne, I too, have been wondering why the Navy Bean Soup is orange. Next time I see 'Mom' I will ask her. Hopefully, she will explain, she's very secretive about her recipes.

Michelle2, if you're coming up via 81, I don't think it's worth going 20 miles out of your way for Mom's Place. I'll put on my thinking cap in preparation for your trip.

Jessica, I blew off a lot of the Oregano before taking the pic, but you know that falls under the header of 'wasting food' in my realm.
