Sassy, Simple, Sweet & Shirazy Sunday

This morning I finally made the Sassy Sandwich Bread recipe from Sarah Kramer's calendar for March. I had to make it first thing cuz every time I thought of making this bread, I became very sleepy and had to crawl into bed. Dianne's instructions helped the Yeast survive my ineptitude.
Shazam! After 25 minutes of baking, a normal loaf of bread emerged from the oven!
It actually tasted great too with an excellent texture! After much deliberation, Yves Bologna was selected as the first home-made bread sandwich filling.
I truly admire those that can bake bread on a regular basis. Dinner was Veganomicon's Simple Seitan with Country Bob's, Baked Sweet Potato and Roasted Asparagus.
Matthew Fox Shiraz.

That is some yummy looking bread! I've been wanting to make some bread, but I'm too impatient to wait for it to rise. Maybe I need to go check out Dianne's instructions. :0)

Lol about feeling sleepy and having to crawl into bed when thinking about making the bread....I get that way about a lot of house chores!

The bread turned out beautifully! Well done. Your sandwich looks mighty tasty.

And I see you got some Country Bob's too...looks like a really tasty dinner.

Back to the bars! I need to make those again, too. I make them a few times a year. Great job on the bread! We eat homemade bread all the time - saves up on dough! Har. (money) Anyway, nice choice of sandwich. But, what are the little red dillyboppers hanging out in it? Good to see you are consistent with the pickles.

That bread looks great, and the sandwich too. Bread baking sounds like a lot of work, was it worth it?

I've never made homemade bread. Now I'm tempted! Chocolate chip pecan bars? Oh, mercy!

Well Hello There!

I started individually replying but I'm just too popular now so I'll just say to everyone, "Thank you. I'm so super proud of my bread. It was not so much the effort involved, just an intimidation thing. Was it worth the work? I'm still asking myself that question. So far I have 80% of the loaf left. If it all gets eaten, then I'll know."

Michelle1, now don't you go holding me to using nectarines! My Mother's neighbor winters in Florida and sent her a big box of citrus. I'm just trying to use it up. Be careful with the pecan bars if your parents have dental issues. Now I have to go see what I posted on your blog.

Morgan, I picked up a cannister of Hemp Protein Powder today. Thanks for the tip!

Blessed Mama, don't you be eyeing my little red dillboppers!

Your bread came out really well! Funny - I never even thought to use her "sandwich bread" as a sandwich but yours looks quite fluffy and delicious.
