Sunday, June 8th

The 'Tofurky Reuben' $6.59 at Common Market for breakfast. No Roasted Potatoes on the Hot Bar and no Eggless Egg Salad in the refrigerator section so you all won't have to be seeing any of that this week...
A Massaged Kale Salad for dinner...
Sweet & Natural Fully Loaded Oatmeal Cookies for dessert...
Bye for now.

Haven't seen a reuben in a long time, good choice! That's a bummer that you couldn't stock up on your favs for the week but I'm sure you have other yummy things to enjoy. Your massaged kale salads look really vibrant and beautiful. Those tomatoes look really fresh and delicious. Gotta love finishing out the day with cookies.

No breakfast potatoes??? Weirdos. Also a bummer about the eggless salad, its hard to find a good one. Looks like a great sandwich, and they sure stuffed it with kraut!
Your salad looks so good- and an impressive tomato there. I'm counting down the days until they're ripe locally.

Ok, so i hadn't seen FF's post about the truck- i never realized they had vegan options! I had yet more socializing today and in contrast to my crummy plate of oily leaves at the bridal shower yesterday we went to pure food and wine where i was happily overwhelmed by tempting options.....

Great job with the kale salad. It looks beautiful; my favorite thing about them is how long they last and it just gets better. The best kale salad I ever made was one with goji berries and hemp seeds. It's also good with avo and cranberry. You, too, can be a salad maven!
Is that vegan cheese in the Reuben??

Look at you with all of the kale you've been enjoying. How are those early tomatoes? I've been hesitant to try any, for fear of bitterness.

And the reuben, of course, looks fantastic. How many weeks until you can try the Native Foods version?

Yeah, that sliced cheese is very intriguing. A Reuben for breakfast is pretty daring.

Your entire day of eats is equivalent to one meal for me.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, I can't tone down the Kale Salads. The sun is coming in too hard these days.

Unknown, it is definitely very bad not to have Breakfast Potatoes. Instead that had Sweet Potatoes with bacon. Do you realize the incredible things you could share if you blogged?

FF, I will never accept that Avocado and Cranberries can be combined. It had better be vegan cheese in the Reuben or a lot of local vegans will be very upset.

Ingrid, these were Campari Tomatoes sold in those clamshells, so they were good. Native Foods wont open locally till September, which is kind of a blessing since D.C. is literally h*ll in the summer.

Abby, the sliced cheese on the Reuben is in no way stretchy or melty, so I'm thinking it's vegan. Common Market seems pretty dliligent about correctly using the word 'vegan' on their grub.

Hannah, there are days when my entire day of yesterdays eats would equal one meal for me as well.

I wasn't questioning the veganity of the cheese! It's just so rare to see slices instead of shreds...
