Kashi Berry Fruitful with Hemp Milk for breakfast...
A scalding hot bowl of Root's Lentil Vegetable Soup for lunch. Perfect for our +90 degree temps...
Unfortunately, this was no better than any soup I could make for myself...
More from Root's Market for dinner: 'Crab Cake' with homemade Tartar Sauce and Roasted Squash....
More from Great Sage for dessert: Half of a 'Linzer Cookie'...
Bye for now.

Well, I do think they say that if you consume hot food in the warm weather it makes yr body feel cooler? Not sure I entirely believe that though.
How did you cook the squash?
Also...I bought the nuts to make the milk for the latte today! I just need to figure out how to make espresso without an espresso maker....If I seem really peppy soon, you'll know the drink worked.

Haha I had lentil soup on this 90 degree day too! I had a cool salad with mine so it didn't make me feel too overheated. I heard the same as FF thought that you are supposed to eat hot foods on hot days to make you feel cooler? I don't know how I feel about that though. The cookie looks amazing, was it good?

Your AC must work better than most if super hot soup sounded like a good idea....! Too bad it wasn't wonderful, good soup takes some finesse.
Is there seaweed or something to make the cake taste "fishy"? It looks really good. I can't imagine leaving half of that cookie behind.

Ditto on the "hot soup in hot weather?" and the "can't leave a cookie half" comments. Also, it has been too long since I have seen a feline photo.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, I think eating spicy foods in the heat help you perspire which is why they eat spicy food in the tropics. Nothing really helps me in the heat except air conditioning. I did turn the oven on for 20 minutes for the Squash. That is gonna be an expensive Latte. Gonna share with G?

Sarah, glad I wasn't the only soup eater yesterday. The Cookie was fantastic.

Unknown, anytime I see some potentially satisfying vegan soup, I buy it. I need to avoid doing that during the next three months. The Crab Cake wasn't fishy at all, but is more of a relief from all the 'Burgers' and 'Chicken'. Seriously, it was a huge Cookie.

Ingrid, I know I need critter pics, but they haven't done anything lately that hasn't been seen before. They're coasting on their cuteness.
