Monday, June 23rd

Even through our A/C went kaput yesterday, breakfast was a very pleasurable experience....
Lunch was good too. Mr. SVegetarian picked up from Thai Deelish. 'Cashew Nut Tofu' $9.99 Cashews, Bell Peppers, Onions & Scallions in a Light Brown Sauce...
It was pretty steamy by this evening, almost like living in Queens, so dinner was a bag of Cracker Jack...
My prize was a Milwaukee Brewers sticker. Gotta find something cool to permanently adhere it to...
Bye for now.

Haha! A Brewers sticker! People at baseball games must be the only people who buy Cracker Jacks, and you.
Breakfast does look great, though I'm not sure I ever see cashews in those Thai Deelish meals. Have you found any?
Queens was pretty hot today. Even got a rad shin/right thigh burn from reading on the fire escape.
Is blogger being weird for you? It makes it really difficult to see what blogs are posting, maybe that's why yesterday was so slow...

No air conditioner?! That is sad but at least it wasn't 95 degrees? Silver linings, right? It does look like you had some pretty delicious meals to make up for the warmth though. Breakfast does look especially tasty. Funny, I just randomly thought about Cracker Jack's the other day! That would be a fun one to recreate if I wasn't too warm and lazy to function.

I forgot to comment on yesterday's post but answering your question, I am not a huge holiday person. Halloween is fun and I love the winter holiday season. I think it is such a beautiful time of the year minus the consumerism part of it. Early winter (before all of the horrible snow) is a really beautiful time of the year to live in NY :) Oh and there are no "right" pickles to like! We just happen to have the same taste in pickles!

I sure hope you have a few fans hanging around, although with the humidity it would still be a little sticky.

I would like to reach in and enjoy your breakfast! Hooray for everything bagels! And a nice choice for lunch, Mr. SV.

P.S. To Maud and anyone else - Blogger is only showing one blog at a time right now, and apparently has been an issue for a week or longer. I went on the forums and found it to be so, adding my comment to the thread!

Beautiful bagelwich! Gotta love a sauce named for its color....as if "light brown" is a universally understood flavor combination. Looks yummy regardless.
Cracker jacks are a very summery food, although when its really hot i just want a smoothie or salad. Which is boring.

My internet was wonky yesterday and obviously my comment from yesterday never showed up.... I had said that for cilantro at chipotle you have to ask, they never have it out but will give it to you. And mason confirmed today as we were hanging out that he would love to meet you too :) he makes a funny very quiet contented snarfling sound when i cuddle him....

A sticker isn't bad; remember when there were really neat things for prizes in the Cracker Jacks?

Hey Now!!!!

FF, here in Virginia, bags of Cracker Jack are stacked high alongside the National Enquirers and Readers Digests. There were most definitely Cashews in the Thai grub, I just highlighted the Red Peppers. Blogger is being normal for me. I post daily in case you didn't notice after all these years. Sorry about your thigh burn.

Sarah, thanks for finally getting around to answering my questions. Sheesh! Bout time.

Ingrid, yesterdays Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese was the best I've ever had. So freakin' good. I don't know what you all are talking about with Blogger. This is The Shenandoah Vegan Blog. I post every day come h*ll or high water.

Unknown, you mean 'Light Brown' Sauce isn't as common as 'Beurre Blanc' or 'Hollandaise'? it was so hot last night, I couldn't expend any energy to make a Smoothie or Salad. On the contrary, I work really hard to avoid asking for anything extra at any eatery. Tell Mason that I will one day get there to kiss his beautiful head.

Abby, I do remember when there was the possibility of a worthwhile prize in a box of Cracker Jack. I also always think of 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' whenever I eat Cracker Jack. Alas, there's been never any George Peppards around during that time. Or at any other time come to think of it.
