Friday, June 13th

I had bought some packets of Blue Algae Nut Butter on a 'discontinued' sale several months ago. Opened my first one this morning and it was pretty good....
Yesterday, I ate too many Nuts. Today I ate too many Chips....Lunch was at La Sandia....
Our server, Darnell, made the best table side Guac I've ever had...
Mom & I split the 'Portobello Mushroom Fajitas' which are not as good as the 'Market Vegetable Fajitas' in case anyone cares...
An LPQ Blueberry Muffin for dinner/dessert....
Bye for now.

Eeee I think maybe I can see why the blue nut butter was dicontinued, but glad it tasted alright.
So can you pick out any ingredients table side to see what might make it so good? Did Darnell bring the whole avocados out, or were they already cut up?

That nut butter is hysterical! Does it taste any different?? Good guacamole is very important at a mexican lunch! At least now you know to ask for that guy as your waiter.... Weird that the 'shrooms weren't better, portabellos can have a lot of flavor, maybe they just weren't cooked long enough?
Muffins as dessert should be offered everywhere. I want to go out to dinner and have to choose between a muffin and one of those sweet bars.

Wish me luck at a bbq full of omnis this weekend.... I'm thinking i'll be "fashionably" late and hopefully avoid the actual grilling situation.....

I'm not sure how I feel about that nut butter but I'm glad that you somewhat enjoyed it. Fresh chips and guacamole are a beautiful thing and I can see why you would get your fill when you had the chance. The portobellos look great but not as pretty and colorful as the mixed veggie one. Did you freeze the blueberry muffins as well or did you get that one fresh? If it's frozen it looks like it kept really well!

Everyone else has already echoed my thoughts about the blue nut butter...

Welp, you finally had Mexican and I didn't even guess. I think this inspires me to have fajitas soon. Or guacamole. Or both.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, the Blue Nut Butter did taste all right. Sorta fruity. At La Sandia, they bring out the cut up Avocados, Onion, Tomatoes, Cilantro etc already in the bowl and then mash it up in front of you on your table. No clue what made this one so awesome.

Unknown, there was Lemon Juice in the Nut Butter ingredients list to mask the flavor of the Algae I suppose. The Portobello Fajita platter was a 'lite' entree. Methinks there's more oil in the the regular Vegetable Fajitas to make them tastier. Is your bbq on a rooftop in the city? Hope there are lots of Baked Beans and Corn on the Cob to deflect attention from you.

Sarah, I think you would like the Nut Butter, but it appears they don't make it anymore. Yes, I stock up on the cakes & muffins when I go to LPQ and put them right in the freezer when I get home.

Ingrid, can't believe you missed your big opportunity to guess correctly.
