Thursday, June 5th

Try as I might, it seems I can't escape the beige/carby/faux foods...
Just Mayo on my Tofurky Oven Roasted Sandwich. Based on the one TBSP I ingested, I'd say I like it as much as Vegenaisse. Maybe by the time I get to the bottom of the jar I'll have a stronger opinion....
Dinner was a Japanese Golden Chop and Roasted Cauliflower...
Equal Exchange Chocolate for dessert...
No lunch with Mom tomorrow, she's at the beach. Bye for now.

Oooh look at Mom getting all fancy going to the beach. Are you a fan of the beach? Why do I feel like the answer is no?

Fruit and nut chocolate is my absolute favorite. I love the textures all together. So good. You always manage to make a tofurkey sandwich look good.

I say, get in the car and go to the beach. Immediately. It would take me much longer to get there, than it would you.

I love carbs.

Haha, Sarah! I feel like the answer is no too. But on the upside... no lunch with mom?
Congrats on turning the oven on to roast that cauliflower. When I roasted the sweet potatoes the other day, I made sure to roast as much other stuff as possible to not have to turn the oven on sooner than necessary. It's tough. Especially since we don't believe in microwaves.
That chocolate reminds me, Lula's sells all those Jokerz, mahalos, etc. and is one of the few places I've seen Cleo's cups! maybe I'm due for another Cleo's taste test?

Beige can be good! A reliable sandwich can be very comforting. The capers on the chop really make it- and the cauliflower looks great. The charred bits are the best part.
You should take yourself out for an indulgent lunch friday!

Ample hills was just to get some ice cream for the parents, (they raved about theirs too) i had no idea they would have several amazing vegan options! No way to get it home before it turned to moosh... But i can get Lula's home before it melts, so i'll live :)

Why suddenly start stressing about beige foods now? Clearly they've been working for you for yonks.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, I am a fan of the beach, but I'm not a fan of leaving my critters for more than a few hours at a time. It's four hours each way from our house to Ocean City, Maryland.

Ingrid, easy for you to say. You'll get your beach soon enuf when you hit Florida this summer.

FF, I do enjoy water and sand like most humans. Believe it or not, I've scuba dived in Mexico and snorkeled in the Red Sea. I wanted to steam the Cauliflower, but Mr. SV said to go ahead and roast it, so, hey, that's what happened. How come you're going to Lula's again now?

Unknown, you're going to Lula's too?! Must be the summer heat driving everyone to get ice cream. What did you do with your parents today?

Hannah, I don't know. My usual food is not as pleasing as it's been for yonks. In fact, it's sort of grossing me out. Gotta start trying to eat healthier.
