Oooh what a great food day! I like how you are rationing out those pancakes and I thinking faux sausage is a perfect side for it. I love the sweet and savory together.
That soup looks amazing and I can imagine how it would definitely make you warm and toasty, especially in the heat we've been experiencing. The slaw looks like it would be nice a refreshing. Hopefully we'll see the return of dessert soon :)
I saw the breakfast sausage by Field Roast today, and wondered if you knew about it! How is it?
Hot food + hot weather = no. I made pasta with veggies from the farmer's market tonight, and was hot while eating. Ugh.
Pancakes and sausage on a weekday feels special! Glad you got to the pancake sooner than later, they don't age well....
And what's up with the world's largest bay leaf in your soup?? They should have taken it out before selling the soup! And you're crazy to eat hot soup today. Or your fixed AC is cranking out arctic air....
Your dinner is making me crave slaw!
Although i can't deal with tabasco or hot peppers i do love horseradish, ginger, and black pepper. I can't figure it out. So i always ask for extra horseradish in the bloody mary, and most are mild enough whatever the hot sauce is doesn't bother me. I've been making a super concentrate of juiced fresh ginger, cilantro, and lemons that i mix with seltzer water lately-very gingery and refreshing!

did you eat any of the pancake stack when you were at little grill? How many were there?
Very colorful eats for the rest of the day.
Hey Now!!!!!!
Sarah, yes, it's the sweet and savory together, I never thought about it like that. There is a lot of dessert in the house, so it must get ingested.
Ingrid, I love the Field Roast Breakfast Sausage! It's so delectable. Hope you will post a pic of your Pasta (now say that five times fast).
Unknown, that Bay Leaf was so huge, I am not even sure it was a Bay Leaf. Might have been from a big tree outside. I didn't eat it though, in case you were wondering. I dont get to Harrisonburg often, so I have to stock up on the grub regardlless of the weather. I love Horseradish, but never ask for extra anything when I go out. You must buy a pound of Cilantro a week. Any Mason sightings?
FF, I ate quite a bit of my Pancakes at the restaurant, of which there were three. I guess you didn't bring home any leftovers from your trip to D.C.? Like if I went to NYC, I would be hauling home a ton of goodies.
Hi! How's your summer? Sausage really do make pancakes that much better.
