Saturday, July 19th

Breakfast was at The Little Grill. I got the side of Tofu Scrambler $2.50....
with the Tall Stack of Buckwheat Pancakes $7.50. Expect to see a lot of leftover Pancakes for breakfast over the coming work week....
The fantastic food continued through dinner. Mr. SV braved the crowds at the Purcellville Food and Wine Festival to bring me home a Tofu Reuben and some Cheesy Fries from The Randy Radish. Major gooey goodness....
Most definitely going to LPQ tomorrow. Bye for now.

Whoa, some majorly good weekend eats here!! How did the tofu scramble compare to LPQ? The pancakes look delicious and it is definitely a hearty portion. Gotta love getting lots of meals out of one brunch.

Dinner looks really great as well! Do I see marble rye? Yum! The fries look good, did they hold up well after traveling?

$2.50 for that tofu side?!? That is amazing!! And pancakes made by someone else are even better. Hope you have syrup for the leftovers (aka the entire point of eating pancakes)
The ruben has pink insides??? What? Looks like some gorgeous bread and cheesey ooze happening, and those fries have some kind of saucey goodness on there-i can tell those were good!

Brunch with my friends is difficult since they are all omni and not even a little bit interested in going to my favorite veg places....looks like this week will be a late afternoon bbq and drinks which is easier since i bring a vegan somethin' to grill and a big vegan dish to share. (Which the omnis always like!) but lots of times i end up with a crappy salad and enjoy the company while drinking more than i should in the middle of the day :)

Wow, look at those purple slabs of tofu. And cheezy fries are like a dream. Disco fries, I think I've heard them called?
Think maybe I should get some buckwheat flour soon and make pancakes...those look great.

Nice work on the Randy Radish, Mister! Looks divine. I miss the Vegan Van.

I look forward to said pancakes. Too hot here for hot breakfast, so I will enjoy yours via internet.

Hey Now!!!!!!

Sarah, LPQ Tofu Sramble is still #1 in my book. The Fries only had to travel 10 miles from the Randy Radish selling spot, so they held up well. It was a great food day. Every day should be like that.

Unknown, I was surprised by the $2.50 Tofu Sramble as well. i've got my Trader Joe's Grade B Organic Maple Syrup just waiting in the fridge. Sounds like a fun challenge coming up with a vegan BBQ side that omnis will enjoy.

FF, Disco Fries are in Gravy I believe. A diner staple up in Jersey. These were 'Cheezy Fries'. Buckwheat Pancakes are great. Let me know if you have a good recipe.

Ingrid, is the Vegan Van no longer in business, or you just haven't had time to patronize them?
