Saturday, July 26th

Yes, they forgot the side of Avocado, but at least they didn't charge me for it today....
A Gazpacho disaster in the WF's parking lot. The bottom of the bag broke. It looked so refreshing on the pavement. Rather heartbreaking....
At least the beautiful bread wasn't wasted....

The Chickens loved it. No dummies, they..
A Silver Spotted Skipper guzzling the Phlox....
Thankfully, my Avocado Lentil Salad survived. The question is: why are there two dressings? I chose the yelllow one...

Another half a Randy Radish Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert. Gotta stock up on more of these, they're fantastic....

Bye for now.

Maybe that was just your subconscious telling you the avocado wasn't ripe today.....
And what tragedy!! Why do i think you did not go back into LPQ to tell them about said disaster due to their shoddy packing.....? That soup isn't cheap and you should be able to get to your car with it at least! Glad your adorable chickens got a snack out of it.
I guess two dressings are better than none, funny they didn't match though.
And yes! Find Randy! I know he has alllll kinds of properly packaged deliciousness just waiting for you.....

Ps
Fruit flies in your office is a dealbreaker. And almost more gross than having them at home somehow....

Your chickens are so cute! I love the one with a lot of wild hair! Bags breaking is such a pain it's happened to me on the bus numerous times. I hope today goes better!!

Oh no, that is so sad about the bag! I'm sorry. Funny how the salad did make it okay, though. Was it in a separate bag?
One time a bee was buzzing near my lunch from Paradis and when I tried to wave it away, I knocked all the salad out. There was nothing to do but go to a bar and drink for lunch.
Yeah I like the tufted hair chicken too!

I wonder what is going on with LPQ?! It's like the Harriman's service infection is spreading...

So sad about the bag breaking. Wasted money and wasted food, with the exception of the chickens' perspective. I bet they appreciated the whole event!

Oh no!!!! No avocado and lost gazpacho?! This is not happy Saturday food news. At least they didn't charge you for the avocado this time and hopefully the scramble was ok minus the avocado.

On the plus side your chickens are adorable and they had a yummy meal! And at least your salad was in tact and while you can't get avocado and breakfast you can get extra dressing at dinner. Cookies make life better.

I hope you like your macerated berries!

Hey Now!!!!!

Unknown, i am somewhat to blame for the Gazpacho bag breaking as the soup fell over in the bag and thus dampened the bottom. Then when I took it out to put my WFs groceries in the car, tragedy struck. The office fruit flies are very odd, though I think of them as my office pets (since I miss my babies terribly when I am away from home). The Fruit Flies have been there for years and there is always one flying around ones face when trying to converse. Of course they cant be caught.

VP, a bag breaking on the bus definitely sounds more hellish than losing a pint of Gazpacho in a parking lot.

FF, they put the soup in a little paper bag and the salad in a plastic bag. If only I had put the soup in the plastic bag with the salad, but I guess it would squish the salad. Losing a meal from Paradis is definitely heartbreaking. i would needl a drink after that as well. That is a Polish Chicken with the cool hair do. Wonderful birds.

Ingrid, that is the good thing about having chickens for a person like me who cant waste food.

Sarah, the Tofu Sramble was very delicious. It really doesn't even need Avocado. Maybe I will give up on it. Haven't started macerating yet, I need to study the recipe a little more so I dont screw it up.
