Though most of the day's meals are monochrome, they look delicious! Those grapes still look edible to me! Say hi to Mom from all of us. :-)

Mmm that pumpernickel bagel looks great. I've been craving grapes lately and now I'm craving them even more! I'll have to add that to my grocery list this week. Bummer that the okra was tasteless, I've actually been curious about dried okra because I have a feeling that would be the only way I'd enjoy it. I have heard a lot of unpleasant things about slimy okra, yuck. The cake looks great!

I'm not a traveler or good at guessing at all but I'm going to take a crack at it and say salads?

For macerated strawberries you just cut up your strawberries then squeeze lemon juice over it and sprinkle a little sugar. Then the strawberries soften and create a delicious syrup. It's sooooo good. Would be great on ice cream or pancakes/waffles...

The grapes look good to me too, though I'm not normally a fan. How were the frozen ones you tried? Or did you not eat those yet?
Dried okra! I've never seen that. Sounds good, maybe you could've thrown some nooch on them. Or cayenne.

WOO HOO! Let the guessing commence. If it's a Groupon, it might be to a sandwich joint. But, I am secretly hoping that it is Ethiopian or Indian...

The pumpernickle with scallions is such a pretty contrast! I eat tons of grapes, especially red ones. Like, one pound = one serving....that's why i love them semi frozen, slows me down.
Okra would be one of three vegetables i just won't eat. (Rutabegas and bamboo shoots round out the list) but most anything is good fried and salted usually....

And the worst part was my good friends were apparently friends of the shrieking small childrens' parents!!

Hey Now!!!!!!!

Blessed Mama, I'm okay with monochrome grub, it's when it's all beige I start to feel not so energetic. Might be psychological.

Sarah, I got some lousy dried Okra. Going by the dried Okra I had several years ago I would recommend it. You guessed right! It was a Big Salad with lots of stuff in it today! Those macerated Strawberries sound interesting. Have you shown that on your blog? I dont recall?

FF, I haven't done the frozen grape thing yet. Do you eat them frozen?

Ingrid, it is usually a Sandwich when i go to this restaurant, but today, I got a Salad. So I will give this one to you. My Mother would not be able to eat anything spicy like Ethiopian or Indian Food. One bite and she'd be done.

Unknown, if only I had frozen the Grapes, they might have lasted better in the freezer. i've had dried Okra in the past and liked it. lLike the Grapes, it was a bad batch. I hope you have a more peaceful Brunch this weekend.
