WTF Monday

Breakfast was the Banana Nut Waffles (made with Blueberries instead of Nuts. Who the h*ll would want Nuts in their Waffles?) from Veganomicon.
Avocado, Tomato and Onion on a TJ's Everything Bagel for lunch. These are not like real Bagels, and may not even be vegan -- there are mono & di-glycerides and enzymes in the ingredients list -- but they're certainly better than those gross Alvarado Street "bagels".
Boca Chik'n Patties with Roasted CSA Squash for dinner...
An Eli's Treasure Bar (on a plate hot out of the dishwasher) for dessert...
Gotta get myself into the office tomorrow. So there will be that type of food tomorrow.

I'd want peanut butter in my waffles. Does that count?

Boo for having to go in tomorrow. We need jobs where we can WFH all the time!

I've put nuts in waffles before (my morning glory waffles) and it was actually pretty good! Definitely a lot easier to eat than throwing nuts on top of the waffle. Blueberries do sound more delicious though.

Yikes, you aren't having much luck with bagels. The toppings sound so good though. Love tomato and avocado on top of anything. Dessert looks so good, even if it's a little melty.

Fantastic open-faced bagel sandwich, even if the bagel itself was more of roll (which is how it appears - am I close?).

What's the treasure?

I would take nuts in my waffles over bananas.....but that's just me.
The bagel-wich looks delicious- i am now a truly obnoxious bagel snob though. I used to pick up a few at the whole foods bakery where they are sold individually before i swore my undying love to ees-a-bagel.
Never seen the choco bar before, is it good?

I've never had nuts in waffles, although I have had them on top of them (the ones we had while in Santa Fe, the "brass monkey". It was pretty good! In the waffles, though, I think would get too soft.

You need Natural Ovens bagels there. They make them a bit north of us and are the only vegan ones I've cared for so far.

Mmm, treasure bar. And that bagel sandwich looks awesome, despite the faux-bagel.

Hey Now!!!

Hannah, no, Peanut Butter on a Waffle makes sense. Wonder if there are any recipes out there for PB Waffles?!

VaVa, I figured if you could just eat plain Avocado on toast, that Tomato & Onion would really make it good. However, it was a little boring. Needed something else.

Ingrid, right as usual (or 95% of the time). The bagel was like a nice soft roll. The 'treasure' in the candy bar was this little bar of Butterfinger crispy type thing down the middle.

Unknown, Ees-a-Bagel is the one with vegan cream cheese, right? The Eli Candy Bars are very good if you eat them fresh. So I give Des & Chris about three months tops. You?

RV's, Nuts on top of Waffles would be okay if there was Syrup as well. Like those Walnuts for Ice Cream. This is the first time in my life I've had Bagel problems. So strange.

Nikki, might as well have some Faux Meat and Vegenaisse on my Faux Bagel. Good idea!

Real bagel! I was amazed that, when on a recent trip to NY, the "real" bagels were not as real as the ones we have in Georgia!
