Sunday, August 4th

Breakfast was the 'Vegan Hash' $12 Tofu, Potato Hash, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions and Chipotle Drizzle at Tavern 64...
with Whole Wheat Toast and Swiss Preserves...
Lunch was the Black Bean and Avocado Sandwich $8.95 with Route 11 Chips at Christina's Cafe..
Christina has some gorgeous flowers in her garden, but if she doesn't change up her menu, I can't keep eating there. Just too much of the same old every time I go there...
Another 'Really Big Salad with Lots of Stuff In It' for dinner....
WF's Apple Pie for dessert.
Breakfast was the best part of the day.

I just near-choked on my Kashi cereal due to laughing at that little blob of marmalade on your toast. I don't know why it's so funny. But it is. QUICK IT'S GETTING AWAY.

That breakfast is beautiful! It looks so delicious! Haha I love the little blob of marmalade on the toast too. Your salads have been so great and you can always count me in for apple pie :)

Breakfast definitely looks like the highlight. I want to recreate that potato hash in my kitchen, yum!

That breakfast looks amazing!

I definitely need to get my hands on some of that WF's apple pie!

Yup, agreed - breakfast wins. I love the chipotle drizzle, was it spicy?

Another beautiful salad! Yum, apple pie.

I went to the Farmer's Market today, and noticed our corn prices are dropping so the supply must be increasing. I hope it pops up in your CSA box soon. Also: I refuse to buy peaches right now b/c paying over $1 for one is ridiculous.

Chipotle drizzle on the hash looks bomb. What's the greenery? Pea shoots?
I once tried to start a zine called "Lillipugnacious" about my love of all things tiny, and that jar of marmalade (umlaut) would go right to the top of that list. I wanna nuzzle that lil baby.

That hash looks incredible, as does the sandwich. Hopefully they change the menu up for you, though.

Definitely no sleeping in the Airstream while it's in our driveway, but we will be going to Kohler-Andrae State Park. It's only 3 miles from us, so it'll be sort of like being at home. Mike is a different story, though. If I ever wake up in the middle of the night & he's not in bed, I'll know where to find him.

Hey Now!!!!

Hannah, I tenderly placed that so-called 'blob' 'just so' to illustrate how appetizing my meal was. Can't believe that was humorous to you. What kind of Kashi were you eating?

VaVa, that's the last time I pre-blob my toast before photographing! Dry plain toast on the blog forever here-on-after!

Sara, I want to recreate the Hash as well. The only tricky part is the micro-greens. Where do those come from?

VGG, this WF's vegan Apple Pie just happened to be unusually good. They haven't always been as good as this particular pie.

Ingrid, I'm just guessing, but I think the 'Chipotle Drizzle' on my Vegan Hash might be Chipotle Vegenaisse. Still no Tomatoes at your Farmers Market?

FF, those are micro-greens on the Hash, hence the hefty price tag. I love this restaurant primarily because of the tiny jars of preserves. They make me feel all special.

RV's, were I to have an Airsteam in the driveway, I'd probably move all the fuzzies into it and then have in-home renovations done so they don't get stressed out. Camping out three miles from home sounds like a good start.
