Tuesday, August 13th

An individual Carrot Cake from Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast...
Lunch was the 'Lotus Spicy' and a Spring Roll $7.95 from Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant Diced Soy Protein sauteed with Dried Tofu, Celery, Organic Carrots, Green and Red Bell Peppers and sprinkled with Peanuts in spicy Kung Pao Sauce. They did it up right today....
but then the afternoon snacking began...
and after this, I felt so gross and vurpy...
I tried some Boca Burgers and TJ's Tots for dinner to settle my stomach...
they helped restore some order. WFH grub tomorrow, no vending machine.

The vending machine can be tempting, can't it? I've never heard the word vurpy before....

Glad you felt better after eating dinner. Tots are always delicious!

What was ontop of the carrot cake-muff? I thought it had a kind of frosting action last time.... Lunching looks great, the peanuts sound like a key ingredient.
Too bad the snacks took you down! I haven't seen those fruit jellies in forever, good stuff.
Hopefully the comfort food dinner does the trick to comfort your tummy

Ps
I thought of you when i had my veggie tofu cream cheese bagel today, i counted and they had five diff tofu flavors. Dont mean to sound like i'm rubbing it in, just know that when you do visit nyc it will take a few blissful days to finish the bagelathon.

I think your body would go into shock if you ate half of what I ate every day. This is why I'll never to an "everything I ate today" post. I'd horrify everyone.

Yay cake!

What a phenomenal lunch! Yum! I've had snacky-turned-yucky afternoons, so I feel your pain. Glad to know things are more balanced after dinner! I heart tots.

A vending machine of furry love is always better than vending machine edibles. And they come at the price of "free". ;)

I know that yucky feeling all too well. Vending machine - 1, Shen - 0. Lunch looks incredible as does the carrot muffin. Yummy! And now I know of the tot healing power! I'll have to keep that in mind ;)

Lol you aren't missing much. A lot of laziness on my parts. Salads and low maintenance food. Haven't been focusing too much on food in my life lately.

Hey Now!!!!

RVs, I almost felt like asking for the vending machine to be removed from the office -- like that would ever happen.

Unknown, it looks like LPQ left the frosting off this particular Carrot Cake. I'm positive if I went to NYC, all the Bagel shops I'd go to would not have Tofutti Cream Cheese. Last visit, Mr. SV & I couldn't even find breakfast out, we wandered around Soho for about an hour and finally just ate breakfast at our hotel.

Hannah, I suspect you have the metabolism of a hummingbird, so I wouldn't be too shocked about your daily eats Maybe a little bitter.

Ingrid, that's so right. It is so great being home with my furry babies. Healthier all the way around.

VaVa, I'll try to take your word for it that not much is going on up there.
