Sunday, August 25th

The Atlantic Ocean this morning. I drove to the Eastern Shore to visit my mother while she's staying at the beach...
A raw lunch was enjoyed at My Nature in Ocean City, Maryland....
We each got the 'Sampler Platter' $13 which included a Veggie Patty, a 'Bagel' with Sauerkraut, Celery Salad and Salad Bar. Very good food...
En route back home, I kept pace with a Safari Airstream for a while on Route 50...
While I was traveling, Mr. SVegetarian was out and about on his motorcycle. He stopped at Black Bear Bistro and brought me back two Tempeh Reubens. The first one for dinner tonight was outstanding. There were also Fries, but they were in the oven when I took the pic...
Extremely stuffed, so no dessert. WFH grub tomorrow (including the other Reuben).

What a gorgeous picture of the ocean!! I love the beach so much and haven't been in so long. THe water there looks blue which is nice ;) Long Island beaches don't look so blue, sadly.

What a terrific looking raw lunch! It's so pretty and vibrant! What was the bagel made out of? How nice of Mr. SVegetarian to get you the tempeh reubens! That's a good hubby right there :)

If it's not swarming with Blue Bottle Jellyfish and sharks, it's not a real beach.

Beautiful! Your mother must be loving her time at the beach.

I'm curious about this "bagel" - what was it? It all looks pretty fantastic!

We will all think of Molly when we see an Airstream! I wonder where those people were headed. I want to go.

The beach looks great! I'm also curious about the "bagel" at lunch- looks like a great plate of veggies there.
And did you take that photo while driving?! Be careful! Vegan food in hospitals is....um, hfc applesauce and gmo plain pasta. Bleh.
The ruben looks like it has so much goodness in there, and the right bread too- marble rye is seriously underrated.

Ps
Omg! I accidentally found out how to add a pic! That's my soy macciato from blue bottle coffee the other day :)

I'm loving that photo of the ocean and I'm so excited about the Airstream photo! It looks like a larger, newish one. Any chance you've convinced Mr. SV to get one yet?

Really great looking lunch. Such a great day!

"We" meaning you and yr mother? She went to my Nature with you? I'm going back to Quintessence tomorrow - they have raw bagels too but I'm a bit wary. Also they may only be available on weekends for brunch. Glad you enjoyed yrs.
It's a gorgeous beach shot too.

Hey Now!!!!

Sarah, sure wish you would move to the beach. You want to so badly. I believe the 'bagel' was just the typical dehydrated flaxseed cracker. There was too much information to take in at the raw vegan restaurant.

Hannah, on the phone to Qantas requesting a refund now.

Ingrid, I think the bagel was just a dehydrated cracker. You've dehydrated before, as I recall. The Airstream was headed west. For their sake, hopefully not stopping till it hit the other side of the country.

Unknown, the 'bagel' was probably just dehydrated flax seeds, but the 'toppings' really made it tasty. Yep, I took photos while driving. It was a very boring drive back, so practicing my photography helped pass the time. I don't think my blog's comments section allows the posting of pics. It is strange that Hannah mentioned Blue Bottle Jellyfish and you went to Blue Bottle Coffee...

RVs, Mr. SV has no problems at all with my buying an Airstream. The bigger the better. Emphasis on 'me' buying it.

FF, Mom was game to go to raw vegan restaurant cuz her beach neighbor had previously expressed interest in the place. So this way she could say she already went. She handled the meal very well. Only asked for bread twice.
