Saturday, August 17th - All LPQ All Day

Mr. SVegetarian was busy riding his motorcycle all over today, so I was left to my own devices. My first thought: Tofu Scramble $9.95 at Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast. And so it was.
Breakfast was so pleasing, I thought, "why not treat myself to carryout for lunch, dinner and dessert as well?" 'Organic Lentil & Avocado' Salad $13.25 made with Raw Vegetables, Flax Seed, Chickpeas, Frisée, Arugula and Basil Vinaigrette was a great lunch. Will definitely get this again....
'Organic Black Bean Hummus' Tartine $9.50 Whole Wheat Bread with Roasted Red Peppers, Avocado and Harissa Tahini was a little iffy for me. Doubt I'll get this one again...
and a 'Hemp Seed Blondie' for dessert. Moist, chewy, a few Chocolate Chunks strewn throughout, the whole thing was top notch.
It was a very nice food day.  Especially Breakfast and Dessert.

How fun to eat from LPQ all day!! Was this the first time you've tried their savory dishes? The crusty bread with breakfast looks so damn good. Love bread. Your lunch salad looks really delicious as well. Bummer your dinner was a little sub par but glad dessert made up for it!

Awesome day! I knew it would be as soon as I saw your post title.

Dinner sounds the best to me, so I'm surprised that it was the one you liked the least. That blondie sounds pretty fantastic.

This does indeed look like a wonderful day. Those meals are like hugs for the belly!

Wow. That's a great food day!! I love that lentil salad, haven't tried the black bean tartine but harissa is dealbreaker for me.
That blondie must be new! It looks so good- in my past life i loved blondies!!

I was at this great falafel shop (nish nosh) and one of their pita sandwiches was just a thick layer of hummus, sliced pickles, tahini sauce and shredded lettuce/onion. Ever since my eyes were opened to the hummus and pickle love.

He rode his motorcycle ALL DAY? Didn't he work up an appetite?? Not even for a lentil and avocado sandwich?? WHY did you marry this person again?

LPQ should hire you to be a menu taster. I now know more about their menu than if I had gone in for one meal myself!

The lentil & avocado salad looks absolutely amazing! I'm not a big lentil eater (outside of lentil soup), but this looks really fantastic.

Definitely a good day of eats!

I actually went to LPQ too but i tried their six vegetable quiche.

The salad looked pretty good though, so I may try that next time.

Hey Now!!!!

VaVa, this was my second time trying non-breakfast LPQ items. I hope they're near you. I think you would love it. How are Tyler and Eddie?

RVs, if LPQ had just called the 'Tartine' an 'Open-Faced Black Bean Hummus Sandwich' my hopes wouldn't have been as high. But you think you're getting something called a 'Tartine', you get all excited.

Hannah, I really did well yesterday. Hooray for me!

Unknown, do you recommend Dill or Sweet Pickles with the Hummus?

FF, Mr. SV has actually slowed down on the riding in the last year or two. Weirder than his obsession with motorcycles: he doesn't like Avocado!

Ingrid, I really hope you get to LPQ with Grandma. It can seem pricey on some things, but I think she'll like it, and you'll have more vegan menu options than at Cheesecake Factory.

VGG, I got the Six Vegetable Quiche once (just like the Cherry Scone) and thought the portion was too tiny for the price. I definitely recommend the Avocado Lentil Salad. If only they served Potatoes (aka Pomme Terres), it would be 100% perfect.
