Saturday, August 10th

Breakfast was the 'Vegan Hash' $12 Tofu, Potato Hash, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions and Chipotle Drizzle at Tavern 64. Such a great flavor combination...
with Whole Wheat Toast and Marmalade (yes, I put the blob of Marmalade there intentionally in order to jazz up the photo)...
No lunch today, surprisingly. The rest of the CSA Lettuce with lots of stuff off the local Salad Bar, Fresh Gourmet Croutons and Goddess Dressing for dinner....
A Jelly Donut from Vegan Treats via Loving Hut for dessert. Jelly is good. I plan to eat a lot more Jelly in the future.
Below is Jasper looking out the barn door this afternoon with (a blurry) Buttercup.
All food plans are up in the air for tomorrow, so come back to see what happens.

I don't think you're ready for this jelly.
I want to make the Veganomicon jelly donut cupcakes, but I'm too scared of making a huge sugary, disastery mess. Should probably just buy a VT version. If I could find one here, that is.
I need more barncats in my life.

Jasper is totally giving your donut the wistful lusting look!
That tofu hash is a reason to get outta bed-i know you go for the jam jars and microgreens ;)
Your csa salads are so good looking- easy $18 menu item, $24 if you add microgreens!
I guess the vegan treats people know how to lure in the jelly lovers like you.

And somehow i doubt you're one of those bloggers who is constantly self promoting and begging companies for free swag....(that is a good thing if you ask me). So that would make it harder for Quorn to find you. The chiken-y strips are pretty good too.
Do you ever read "laziestvegans.com"? All he does is post reviews of new vegan products. Not very often but good reviews that are helpful. And make me want cashew milk.

Great picture of Jasper. <3

I love jelly filled donuts. There's a bakery in Milwaukee that makes them (Larsen's) and they're pretty phenomenal.

I'd like to think you made that marmalade comment just for me.

Hey Now!!!!

FF, Beyonce? Really? Didn't know you were a fan. Also didn't know there was any such a recipe in Veganomicon. I'll check it out.

VeganMiam, it was a great donut. Highly recommend.

Unknown, you pegged me right. I don't want any recognition, but get pissed when I don't get it. Never gotten a freebie and (sort of) proud of it. I'll check out laziestvegans.com. No need to apologize, that seemed like an average length comment for you.

RVs, thanks for the heads up on Larsen's. I guess I could order a Kringle for my mother but I don't see anything vegan on their website.

Hannah, think what you like;)

Ingrid, Tavern 64 would be a good place for you to dine with Grandma.
