Thursday, January 12th

I don't want to insult anyone by stating the obvious:
Next, I must laud my salad making skills today. Pretty and tasty! But then I caved into a bag of Fritos from the vending machine. That wasn't good for me physically or mentally.
No fluorescent overhead light at dinner time: Gardein Scaloppini and Mac & Cheese from Everlasting Life Cafe.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl for dessert. Rich and Chocolatey with just the right amount of PB Chunks.
So, if I had to label it, I'd say it was a 90% good grub day.

That salad really is beautiful! And the mac and cheese looks really delicious as always. I have never had vegan mac and cheese. Have you made your own yet? Do you have any favorite recipes that you've used?

The ice cream looks great but even if I wasn't on a cleanse right now I'd have to live vicariously through you...it is soooooooo cold!

Haha I love how you laid out all the separate segments of grapefruit. They look like soldiers flanking the king (King being spirulina chunk).
Gorgeous looking salad, ice cream too!

I know what Molly means about dogs and Fritos! I had a dog who kind of smelled like that, not just her feet either, when she curled up to sleep. My dad said, "That dog smells like popcorn and peanuts."

The salad does look delicious. I'm not a big fan of raw vegetables, but a well-made salad can really be a satisfying meal. That ice cream or whatever it is looks good too.

Referring to your reply to my Tuesday comment about canned tomatoes: I did NOT get the memo about their being a possible hazard so I googled the subject after seeing your reply. Good to know, but I love canned tomatoes and will not give them up without a fight.

Do you have any comments on The Bachelor? I watched it on Hulu on Tuesday. Crazy blogger girl is no longer a contender, but she did not leave without giving us one last dose of major crazy. Is she for real?!

Your salad indeed looks laudable! Or even "Maudable" given her penchant for lovely salads :).

This whole convo about dog smells is making me glad we're cat people (even though the one is currently obsessed with climbing up into our floor boards from the basement, only to emerge completely filthy an hour later).

Man, those Fritos are always doing you in! If I had a vending machine nearby, who knows what would happen!

Hey Now!!!

VaVa, how cold is it????? Ha! I've yet to make a successfuly vegan Mac & Cheese. Perhaps that could be your next challenge.

Molly, I'm obsessed with doggie feet (so bady want to touch the fur between the pads while they're sleeping and twitching, you know how it is).

FF, that was my army of Grapefruit segments. Too bad I ate them all. Now we're all totally vulnerable to attack.

Miss Rachel, way to be pro-active googling the 'Canned Tomatoes are bad' stuff. That bit of info really stuck in my head. Soon I'll get to the point of never buying canned Tomatoes again. I didn't mention 'The Bachelor' cuz I was so disappointed in this week's episode. The season started out so strong. Our fellow blogger sorely needed an adjustment on her meds.

Stacy, it's so funny when cats get curious and come back from their adventures covered in soot/cobwebs/whatnot.

Blessed Mama, I guess I feel the Fritos are a more virtuous choice because they contain corn. Will I ever learn?
