How is reheated tofu scramble? Obviously I've eaten tofu in casserole form whilst cold, but never a scramble.
Just might have to copycat your stew next week - minus the potatoes, I've got everything else, including a beef cube product by Gardein hanging out in the freezer.
Happy Birthday to Mama Shen!
I like that you cut your sandwiches. Just like mom used to do? Hope disaster does not strike tomorrow.
You keep reminding me about tofu scrambles and it's like I instantly forget to make them. I should really get on that. Yours looks yummy. Sandwich looks very yummy and that stew looks hearty! Mmm cookies!
Happy birthday to Mama SV and hope that not only you avoid disaster but in fact you have a lovely time :)
That is a bummer that my posts keep disappearing but I'm glad you at least get the post in an email! I've noticed that they disappear a lot when I'm the first to comment. I wonder if that makes a difference?
Taking my mother anywhere is always a disaster. She also is (mostly) vegan (she cheats sometimes with cheese and doesn't read labels at all so some other dairy/egg slips through). ANyhow, whenever a server tells us the specials, if one includes meat she always has to go "Ugh!!!!" and snort with disgust very loudly. It's a little obnoxious.
You asked how long I've been vegan. I think about 3 years now? Whenever I first started commenting on your blog is the approximate date.
Food looks great! I like that stew.
Looks like a perfect food day to me. I'd be satisfied. One thing - I've never heard of soysage before. Interesting rectangular shape. Have fun at lunch with your mom today.
Have fun with your mum today! :)
Hey Now!!!!
Ingrid, the reheated Tofu worked out just fine. No issues. I hope you enjoy the stew. Might want to pick up some Kitchen Bouquet or Marmite to have on hand for extra oomph.
FF, my Mom always cut my sandwiches on the half, not the diagonal. Made me feel like a freak at the lunch table. I always cut my sandwiches on the diagonal now.
VaVa, how did you make your comment stick around this time? I know how it is to always forget certain meal ideas,I always forget Stir-Fries.
Stacy, my Mom says she doesn't eat 'red' meat, but in fact does quite often. The past few years what has been happening is when we're dining out she orders meat and it's always too tough for her to eat so she takes a piece, chews it a little, then takes it out of her mouth and puts it on the side of her plate. Repeat. Fun times. Your turn.
Blessed Mama, the Soysage doesn't have much of a website. It's from a commune in central Virginia that makes Tofu called Twin Oaks.
Rose, thanks. Lunch was quite draining, but no major issues.
