WTF Wednesday

Five Plums for lunch...
as well as some Dried Okra. Most people are used to seeing Dried Kale, that's why I went with the Dried Okra (plus Jessica often speaks of her love for Okra, and I thought it might be better dry than fresh. It was). Bought it at Fresh Market .
A Sticky Fingers Brownie with Turtle Trails for dessert.
For the past few weeks we've been enjoying this Mama Turkey passing through the yard multiple times a day with her five babies. Yes it's a crappy picture taken through our kitchen window tonight, but I wanted to share:
We love this little family and are always thrilled when we see them.

Aw, I love seeing wild turkeys! I wish I could get that close to take a picture of them, but they're always way across the field from our house.

I could go for a plum. Will have to buy some this weekend!

Hmmm in my reader, I thought those 5 plums were mini chocolate glazed donuts! :(
The dried okra is really intriguing. I wonder if I could find that here.. oh and, your turkeys reminded me of a youtube video I saw of really strong winds blowing a mother duck and her ducklings across a plaza!! It was sort of sad but kind of cute, but it looks like they were all okay.

Oooh those plums looks great! And I totally thought they were donuts too upon first glance! How did you like the okra? Nice pics of the turkeys too :) And that dessert, do I even need to say anything? Looks so good.

I used to LOVE seeing wild turkey in Omaha while I was there. I wanted one as a pet so bad!

I saw some big ol' turkeys when I was out walking yesterday. I thought they were being raised by someone, but my mom said no, they just hang out around there. And sometimes they chase the mailman - !

I'd love to try some dried okra; I recently bought some pickled okra and it was good.

Tony's sister just raves about how good that dried okra is. I've never been a big fan of okra. I think because it's all slimy. I do like fried okra though. I bet the dried is much better. I'll have to be sure to go to Fresh Market the next time I go to Whole Foods.

Wow, that is so neat that you have a mama turkey and her 5 babies hanging around your house. That's so cool that you were able to get a picture of them. I'm like Molly, the only wild turkey I ever see are way far off in a field.

Now whose getting the cool pictures? :o)

Dried okra? They even dried the seeds and goo.

What a cute turkey family. But really, I'm most excited about your dinner.

Hey Now!!!!

Molly, I'm sure you would get tons of relaxed close-ups of the Turkeys at play. Will we ever know your secret to photographing critters?

FF, Mini Chocolated Glazed Donuts! I wish! I think I recall seeing that duck family YouTube video.

VaVa, sorry for tempting you w/donuts! Although the plums were super sweet.

Carissa, what incredible wild fowl are in Hawaii?

Miss Rachel, that mailman sounds really wimpy!

Kimberly, you've seen Wild Turkeys too?!

Rose, Pickled Okra?! Yikes! Talk about food on a dar.

Michelle2, what's with everyone seeing Wild Turkeys?! I thought I was so special to be seeing them.

Jessica, so you admit there's goo in Okra! Ah Ha!

Alessandra, the odds of getting tasteless mealy fruit is pretty high in the States, that's why a lot of people have given up on the fresh stuff. The Dried Okra was kinda sweet and very crunchy.
