Around noonish today, thunder and lightening were scaring the bejezus out of our littlest one. We opted to take her with us to Mom's Place. That way we could enjoy eating whilst simultaneously trying to take her mind off the Hammer of Thor. The staff gave her lots of attention, which distracted her a little bit. Here she is under our table, in an altered state of panic.
My Veggie Burger $6.95. Great stuff. Stella, aka 'Mom', says they're now selling about four a week.
Field Roast Celebration Roast with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Steamed Broccoli for dinner.
Magical Coconut Bar for dessert. Only two more left! Making more is gonna be a necessary PITA.
Will I actually get up and go to work tomorrow? That thought is currently inconceivable to me.

Aww poor thing! My brother's pup is quite skittish and trembles during storms. The burger looks yum! You best get to baking lady!! ;) Although right now you don't seem to have too much competition for the giveaway.
How nice that they were cool about you bringing your dog in. And good for her for not snagging the burger off yr plate!
I'm glad they let your little one in the restaurant. In preparation for fireworks on the 4th, we were looking into some stress-reducing options for my mom's little dog and we came across this "Thunder Shirt" for dogs. We thought it was interesting, but didn't invest in one.
All the food looks great...and I wasn't messing with you on the last post...I seriously can't find decent food to eat out around here...it seems like you have so many different places around you with yummy looking food.
hey four a week is pretty good! poor pup, lightning IS scary, i wish we could get across to them that everything will be ok.
awe...I'm so glad you were able to take your little baby with you. I bet she did get all kinds of attention...she's sooo cute! I hate that she was skeered!
That magical coconut bar looks so good. Tony sure would like to have some of those. :o)
So... did you go to work?
Your pup looks absolutely exhausted from the fear.
The thunder scares Sophie a lot, too. I feel so awful when they get like that. :(
Those fries look picture perfect!
Hey Now!!!!
VaVa, so if I win your giveaway, you would be willing to bake Magical Coconut Bars?! That would really be a big win.
FF, technically we were sitting outside the restaurant under the overhang and the pup was too catatonic to snag anything. Very relaxing.
Rose, I ordered a 'Thunder Shirt' today! I hope it works. I'll keep everyone posted.
Michelle1, we do all we can to distract her.
Michelle2, does your man eat coconut?! Mine is just now dipping his toe into the exotic coconut waters.
Jessica, yes, I got up this morning and went through the paces like a robot. Twas fascinating to watch myself.
Molly, double-fried Fries. There is no substitute.
Sure! I've made them before :) They are a process but so worth it!
