Friday, July 22nd

Lunch was a big bowl of very delicious Cherries (I took off work today to enjoy the 115 degree heat index).
As part of my vacation, I shopped at Big Lots for the first time in several months and scored some interesting bargains.
Mr. SV brought home carryout for dinner from Sunflower-'Curry Supreme' (Chunks of Soy Protein served with Broccoli, Potatoes, Mushrooms, Carrots and Green Peas in a special Japanese Curry Sauce).
Next to last slice of the WF's Blueberry Pie for dessert.
Stoli. I'm practically pickling myself in this stuff so it's really working out well.

Ooooh cherries! I'm totally on a cherry kick (I may or may not have just finished a cup of cherries myself!). The pic of your dinner looks great and dessert always looks great. And yay for the return of Molly(?)! I think I remember that being her name if not I'm sorry lol.

We've had that horrendous heat index here lately, too.

Is that Molly? Or do you have two dogs? I've been meaning to get some cherries, but our co-op never has them. Time to go to Whole Foods!

Hey, happy vacation days you!!!! Enjoy!!! Hope that heat doesn't get you down too much...stay nice and cool with that Stoli...keep the drinks coming.

I bought some Absolut, and then decided to try Stoli this weekend....can't tell the difference really....what's your take on that? I mean, do you like Stoli specifically over other brands or just like the name? (Like me)

I see that Sarah Silverman DVD in there! Awesome! You've reminded me that season 3 is on Netflix streaming and I have to watch it.

The cherries look great.
Is Big Lots a bulk place? Those things don't look super huge but maybe you took the photo from 5 miles away.

I have heard that Big Lots is a good place to check out on some healthy items. It looks like you found some good things. I am going to have to check ours out. I really adore all your dog and food pictures...they make me smile:) Take care in the hot weather.

Those cherries look good. Do your dogs eat veggies? I used to have one who loved carrots and celery. Whenever I'd get out the cutting board, she'd come running.

I am loving your Big Lots haul. Turns out there is one very close by, maybe I'll check it out. Can't wait to see what you tell Rose about the vodka brands... you have given me the confidence to drink cheap wines.

Hey Now!!!!!

VaVa, you were the impetus for my buying the cherries. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Thank you! I identified the pups tonight, but they're all basically just fur covered love balls.

Molly, we have three dogs. You need to catch up! It's not a 'pack' till there's three.

Rose, I was very bummed when Comedy Central cancelled Sarah's show. She's so brilliant.

FF, Big Lots is a store that sells a ton of stuff that wasn't successfully sold via normal retail outlets. The pic is clear, so it must be all the sweat dripping into your eyes. Blurs the vision.

Deb, if you enjoy nosing through junk in search of buried treasure, you will enjoy Big Lots. I think Whole Foods & Farmers Markets are more your style.

Jessica, our pups are open to eating any and everything. Doesn't even have to be 'food'. Big Lots is only for a certain type of person. Husbands don't usually do well there. The check-out lines are especially challenging.
