Lunch was Toffuti Cream Cheese with sliced Olives on a toasted Wegman's Everything Bagel...
Dinner was mixed Vegetables (Green Beans, Cauliflower, Red Pepper & Chickpeas) in Jalfrezi Sauce on Barley. Vegan Tickles recently posted about Veganomicon's Fudgy Wudgy Blueberry Brownies, so I had to try them. These Brownies were really delicious paired with a scoop of Coconut Bliss Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, however, they still aren't the ideal fudgy vegan Brownies I've been still searching for.
Lots of Liberty Creek Cabernet Sauvignon.

cool sanwich combo. i love barley good choice:)
brownies are a fickle thing. i tried making "black bean brownies" a few weeks ago...not good.
Girl, you have to try my chocolate Fudge muffins/brownies. You can make them in muffin form, or add some nuts and make them in brownies, which I love to do. Honestlhy, I get it from the ingredient list that they don't look like they would taste good, but I have won over MANY with them. You have to try them! THey are vey chocolaty, fudgy goodness! Promise!!!
Yay for tofutti! My fav!
So the quest goes on for the perfect vegan brownie. Can't wait till you share when you find it.
The brownies in the Joy of Vegan Baking are pretty tasty..and Hannah Kaminsky has that whole Brownie/Blondie book - one of those is bound to be good!
I didn't have much luck with the blueberry brownies when I tried them last year. You have to get "Blondies and Brownies!"
You have Wegman's and Trader Joe's? Awesome! I love the excess olives, those look delicious on the bagel.
hands UP for the jalfrezi sauce!!
You and my son both love those green olives. And, I gotta say - what a fun hunt to have, searching for a fudgy brownie. Let us know when you've found it.
Love that lunch! I'm such a fan of green olives, but I've never thought to eat 'em on a bagel with cream cheese. I will say that I'd totally still be hungry though....I'd need some kind of side dish too. But I'm a piggie. :-)
Hello, Ladies & Germ!
A hot toasty bagel with melty cream cheese and sliced green olives makes life worth living.
Michelle, I've made the black bean brownies before, but, while tasty, they weren't fudgy like I want.
Morgan, your recipe is next on my listI, swear.
Carissa, just stay in Hawaii! Don't move!
Okay, if Morgan's recipe doesn't pan out I'll try Hanna Kaminski's.
Jessica, yes, I have a plethora of food stores at my disposal. I am fortunate in that respect.
Kim, thanks again for the coffee cake recipe, I can't wait to make it.
Bianca, quit surfing the net, buckle down and get that book out!
