WFH Wednesday

Lunch was a sandwich of TJ's Chickenless Chicken, Tomato and Veganaisse on Ezekiel Whole Wheat. Fritos on the side...
Dinner was the rest of the Field Roast Meatloaf and some Zucchini Pancakes with a dollop of Sour Supreme...
Dessert was another slice of the cake that I apparently made all for myself..
Lots of Alice White Cabernet Sauvignon...

Re: the cake, hey, more for you I say.

And I also say that now I want Fritos.

I'm so jealous that you get to work from home and eat yummy food! I had to work from work, and I didn't have time to pack my lunch, so food was "not so yummy."

Yaay, two more days to the weekend!

I apologize in advance if this comment is negative, but more I'm just trying to be inquisitive? Do you actually eat any vegetables as a vegan? Your meals generally look BROWN/BEIGE like this post, and not much different from the Standard American Diet (SAD)......I was just curious is all!

I have said that I could never live anywhere without access to a Trader Joe's.

That always happens in my house with cake too. I make a big ole' cake and ask the boyfriend to pledge to help me eat it. He'll eat one slice, proclaim that he likes it, and then not eat anymore. He's not that into sweets (except for ice cream), and I just don't get that. But hey, more for me, right?

Hello, Ladies!

Stacy, Fritos are totally under appreciated.

Rose, NY State is working to pass a law against 'bully bosses'. Let's hope it gets rolling across the U.S.!

Sarah, no apologies necessary. You probably came to this blog thinking it was some sort of healthy living thing, but it's not. Nothing to see here! Keep moving.

Jessica, how did we survive before Trader Joes????

Bianca, don't waste time commenting on blogs. Work on getting that cookbook printed already!

Wows, SV! I admire your response to the "beige-ness" comment. WTF?!? Your food always looks real, and great!

SV,

I have to follow up and agree with Stacy; I love your response to the SAD diet police person.

She doesn't even expose her profile...who is she? Where is she coming from? As far as I'm concerned, people like that aren't really participating in the community...not because they may different ideas...but rather because they make uppity comments in a vacuum.

In my opinion, people like that 1) have too much free time, and 2) need to get a life.

And that's just my unsolicited 2 cents. :)

Rose & Stacy,

I agree with you both. I see the Standard American Diet in all its glory every day and mine is not it. I should put somewhere on the blog that I'm vegan cuz I love animals, not because I love veggies.

Sarah's comment did contain its own truth -- I do eat a lot of brown/beige food. Even my salad yesterday was brown! I need to work on the brightness of my pictures as well.

Maybe Sarah soon will start her own vegan blog and inspire us??? There is strength in numbers.

You are more grown-up than I am, SV!!

People go vegan for lots of reasons--health is one of many. I find that your blog has a good balance between healthy and fun, and I think that would be inspiring to a lot of aspiring vegans, more so than say a raw food ultra-crunchy blog might be. It was to me at least, when I was starting down this path!
