Those almonds look huge from that angle and delicious from any angle.

I think this is plenty exciting, as I wondering why I don't have a toasted bread sandwich sometime soon in my future. I don't have the Reuben making skills, so it might have to involve other items. Scramble, tempeh sausage, and oven fries all sound pretty incredible, too.

But, where will Shen go to lunch while enduring the cube?

I think you are underestimating this post for sure. That sandwich looks pretty perfect and the tofu scramble/faux sausage combo is one of my favs. I used to love faux sausage... haven't had any in so long though! Your oven fries look perfect and those almonds look great!

Boo for the cube!!

The ruben is back! Looks like they were generous with the kraut on there too- funny that breakfast was a sandwich and lunch tofu scramble, like backwards meal day.
The choco almonds do look huge.....and like they have some great texture on the coating.
Will all cube food monday actually be in cubes??

How was the reuben with Tofurky? I never thought of making one that way....

Can't believe it's Monday already. Ugh.

Have you ever had a Tofurky Rachel sandwich? I had a Rachel sandwich back in my non-veg days, and I would love to have a vegan one some time. But I'm guessing it's probably up to me to make it happen.

I remember the first time I had those almonds, it was 2007 and I'd had to catch a bus from UVA to Washington, D.C. so I could visit the Australian Embassy and vote in my country's federal election (compulsory voting FTW?). I watched the news in my hotel for two days, but all CNN showed was some teacher's affair with her student. When I got back to UVA and my laptop, I discovered Australia had had a complete change in government.

And that is my story.

Hey Now!!!!!

FF, aren't we lucky to live in the time of Salted Chocolate? What will they think of next?

Ingrid, I know I said I was going to give Reuben-making tips, but honestly, I kinda OD'ed on Reubens a couple months ago. Hopefully just temporarily. Lunch is always the highlight of my work day, that's for sure.

VaVa, I guess I did underestimate the power of this post. No critter pics, yet seven comments! Weird.

Unknown, Common Market had the Tofu Scramble out for breakfast, but I had to eat the Reuben while it was fresh. Hence the change up. Cube Food in the Cube is an awesome idea! Although, all I can think of are Ice Cubes.

Molly, the Tofurky doesn't stand out in this particular Reuben. The Kraut, Dressing, Cheese & Bread dominate. Major 'UGH!' getting up this morning. I'm with you there.

Miss Rachel, I've never heard of a 'Rachel' Sandwich. Today is all about learning on da blog. Please share!

Hannah, interesting poli sci/history lesson. What teacher had an affair with her student? Was it Debra LeFavre?

A Rachel sandwich uses cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. It's delicious!

No idea. But it wasn't Pacey with his school teacher. That was about a decade earlier.
