Sunday, March 10th

An intense craving for Veggie Chili lead us to Black Bear Bistro for lunch. Wouldn't you know, they no longer offer the winter menu. No Veggie Chili. No Vegan Burger. Had to punt. Went with the Hand Cut Sweet Potato Chips $6.95 with Maple Syrup Sauce to start.
The Black Bean Burger $7.95 as the entree. All very delicious, but disappointing at the same time. Looks like they're no longer emphasizing the vegan thing on their menu.
I bought a container of General Tso's Seitan a few weeks ago at WF's and totally forgot about it. Hard to believe but true. Finally ate it tonight. Pretty good.
A Strawberry Cupcake from Dawson's Market for dessert. I especially like the sparkles on top.
The Croci are hanging strong even after being buried under a foot of snow.
How to spend the rest of my evening now? Reading or surfing the net...decisions...decisions...
WFH Grub tomorrow as there is no way I can get my *ss up an hour earlier.

Everyone's getting Maud's zine lately! Too cool. :)

Those flowers are some tough ones, being able to survive the snow like that. So pretty, too.

That's too bad about the bistro no longer being as vegan friendly. The black bean burger looks good, though.

Argh! You went to the market listed on their website? I am totally going to email them, and demand that they send you a case!

Such as news about Black Bear Bistro. Did you ask about their menu changes? The Strawberry Cupcake certainly makes up for it! Yum!

Hooray for WFH!

Ugh how annoying that they took most of their vegan items off the menu!! I am sure the burger was delicious but when you have your heart set on something and it isn't there, any subsequent meal is sure to be disappointing. The sweet potato chips sound SO GOOD though! I had sweet potato wedges roasted with maple syrup, brown sugar and pecans once at a wedding cocktail hour and it was the most delicious sweet potato I've ever eaten in my life! The cupcake looks yummy!

I don't really follow photographers in particular except for my coworkers. I love seeing what they are up to with their personal shoots, side work, etc. I didn't study photography or anything, I kind of stumbled upon this job... I have a love/hate relationship with it.

Hey Now!!!!

RVs, the zine is setting the country on fire! What will be her roommate situation next month? Will she leave her room to cook in the communal kitchen? How much will this zine be worth in 20 years?

Ingrid, yep, I went to the market listed on the website and made a beeline for the refrigerated drinks. I knew it was too good to be true. I'll just fly out to Denver and stay with you for a couple weeks to get my Bhakti Chai fill.

VaVa, sounds like that was a great wedding spread. Interesting to hear how you 'stumbled' into photography. Wish I had a cool job where I could be creative and fall under the heading of 'glamorous'.

Haha, aw! You can do both, you know. A very FF night.
The sweet potato chips sound amazing but it's too bad that they don't offer the same vegan options on the menu.

FF, I opt to keep the zine on the old nightstand to pick up and read in bits and pieces. Just found the little personalized note inside about an hour ago. Thanks for that.
