Sunday, November 11th

Breakfast was the last of the big batch of Sarah Kramers Banana Pancakes that I made a few weeks ago. These Pancakes really stood the test of time. Tasted just as great on Day 15 as on Day One.

Lunch was at Kraze Burgers, a new local place that is part of a global chain. I got the Classic Veggie $6.50, but I think I was supposed to get the Veggie & Bean. I definitely wasn't expecting a deep fried burger. While Kraze Burgers does nice things in an effort to be green like use glassware instead of plastic cups, Mr. SV & I agreed we were not impressed enough with the rest of the place to ever see ourselves making an effort to return.
Unlike my Pancakes, I do not cook my entire Field Roast in advance. Just the pieces I plan to enjoy that evening.
So, dinner was the above three pieces of Field Roast Hazelnut Cranberry Roast en Croute with Imagine Mushroom Gravy and Roasted Cauliflower.
Dessert was half a Vanilla Cupcake from Natalia's Elegant Creations...
Coming up tomorrow: Going to WF's at lunch time when the kids are out of school and contaminating the Salad Bar.

Wow! Did you freeze them after making them? The pancakes certainly did keep well.

A deep fried veggie burger? I'm imagine that the fried taste was stronger than the veggie burger taste.

Good to know about the Field Roast - I will employ a similar method when I pick it up.

Yes, the children will be everywhere tomorrow! Ha!

Wow, I'm impressed by the shelf life of those pancakes! That's great that they lasted that long!

The veggie burger looks great, bummer that it wasn't as good as it looks. A deep fried burger is a little weird so I guess I can understand why you'd feel that way.

Field roast with roasted cauliflower sounds like a perfect autumn meal. Yum! I like the cook as you go method, makes for less waste :)

Oh man good luck with the Whole Foods run tomorrow. I have to go grocery shopping and I"m going to try and get out asap in the AM because it'll be torture if I go at a decent hour.

Wow, did you really cook the pancakes that far in advance or just the batter? Lunch looks extremely good, but it goes to show that looks can be deceiving. The library is open tomorrow, but I'm not scheduled to work so it looks like a good day to post on my blog so as not to let the art form die.

Hey Now!!!!

Ingrid, I refrigerated the Pancakes using parchment paper to keep them from sticking together. Life is better for me when school is in session.

VaVa, hope you get back to your regular routine now.

Miss Rachel, I cooked all the Pancakes at once, let them cool and then refrigerated them. Works like a dream. Speaking of which, thanks for keeping the blogging dream alive (when you're not busy keeping the public library dream alive).
