I had the Mushroom Creole Hoagie for lunch....
and a side of Fries.
After lunch I opened my new waffle maker
and made a batch of Banana Waffles. The waffle maker instructions said to throw away the first one, but we ate it anyway just out of curiosity. It was very good.
Gardein Holiday Roast with Chard for dinner. Again.
A half a Chocolate Cupcake from Natalia's Elegant Creations for dessert.
Twelve hours from now I'll supposedly be sitting in my cube. I'm not ready mentally or physically.

I approve of everything that happened today: Black Bear Bistro with cozy fireplace dining, waffle iron purchase, more chard. Well done!
Even though I'm not teaching lessons, the thought of me going to work is also less than desirable. I would like for us all to get paid for staying home with our animals.
Oh man what yummy looking food! It definitely looks like a cozy brunch and your waffles look great! Apparently sunday is a great day to test out the new waffle iron ;) Haha that's so funny that you ate the first waffle because I actually edited out a sentence where I said I threw my first one out based on manufacturer instructions! So funny. I'd repeat that dinner too and gotta love the cupcake!
Everyone's making such great looking waffles lately. Mike and I need to get on that train!
That hoagie sounds fantastic. Makes me want to go get some sandwiches this Friday night.
If there's a good dog in the house, he or she might be able to take care of that first waffle for you. You know how dogs are: always ready to step up and help out in the kitchen.
Banana waffles sound awesome! I'm pretty sure that's the same brand I bought for Greg. It's pretty easy to use, no? Who would ever throw a waffle away anyway?
Right on for Black Bear having the fire roaring at "breakfast time." I doubt there's a single NYC restaurant with a real working fireplace, so you've got us on that count.
Hey Now!!!!
Ingrid, at least Remy is totable in terms of taking him out and about with you when you do have to leave home.
VaVa, glad I didn't have to waste a Blueberry Cornmeal Waffle. That's why I went super simple with my first ever batch.
Molly, your Waffles from Riverwest Coop were part of my decision to buy the waffle maker.
Miss Rachel, the waffle maker instructions made me too scared to risk feeding the first waffle to the pups or chicks. Like what was on it that it was supposed to be inedible? I still feel fine.
FF, if I can use the waffle maker then it is easy to use. No on/off switch or anything, just plug it in and the little green light tells you when it's ready. World famous NYC vegan restaurant, Blossom, has a fireplace. Perhaps a Mofo post is in order?
